It offers couples more control over the process and the decision-making about the terms of the divorce. However, divorce mediation is not always the suitable course for couples divorcing. In those instances we engage in the litigation process. We also represent clients in a collaborative divorce process. In all aspects of our practice, we encourage resolution through negotiation before automatically moving forward with litigation, as negotiation and mediation can lead to an amicable resolution as compared to litigation which is an adversarial process that generally results in significant financial expense to all parties and not always the favorable outcome you hoped to obtain.
