I took weekly private lessons from Julius for about 3 months. Initially I went to him for basic instructions on how to play the simple classics (The Beatles, Oasis, John Denver, etc.) but ended up developing a strong fascination and love for the Blues after watching Julius improvise over "Pride and Joy" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. From that point on I started looking into music that I hadn't really paid any attention to previously and discovererd many amazing bands that inspired me to take the guitar seriously. Julius also taught me some basic music theory and even started teaching me how to read notation instead of tablature (which was awesome because I have always wanted to learn how to read music but never put in the effort). Needless to say, I got so much more than basic guitar lessons from Julius and would recommend him to musicians of any level. If I ever move back to the city I will definitely start up with him again.

Julius recorded four sound tracks for me and mixed them with pre-recorded instruments. I was very satisfied with the results. Julius is very professional and great too work with and learn from. He also has been a tremendous musical influence with my nephew, Christopher(now 17 years old and currently performing at venues in Rhode Island.) Julius is encouraging and thorough. I would recommend hiring him at all levels.
