Mr. Tchekmazov, quite simply, is one of the finest cellists, musicians, and teachers of his generation who possesses an extraordinarily broad knowledge of his instrument and excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and audiences alike. I can think of few people whom I would recommend so highly, and believe that he would be a great teacher for anyone.
