Hello "Jessica Broomstein and "Lauren Nancy", if that is your actual names. You already posted a review on our other Google page. As we stated in our prior response, we believe you not to be a real person(s) but rather a competitor trying to sully our great name and years of extremely wonderful instruction as well as impact other organizations. If you are in fact real please do contact us via email, phone, text or even a conference call with the American Red Cross to discuss the issues you raised. The American Red Cross and Aquatic Solutions has a wonderful and excellent partnership which you are free to contact them at your leisure to check on and we encourage everyone to do the same. Since we are fairly sure where this is coming from, rather than generate phony Google email addresses and post fake and baseless reviews for your competitors for an interaction that never occured (we have zero record of both your registrations or attendance in any of our Lifeguarding classes) please focus on your own business and kindly do not try to fool the public and continue this practice of deception. Also, when you post fake 5 star reviews for your own business we suggest you vary the content. Your reviews are apparently scripted responses and by in large utterly fake but Google unfortunately does not parse through fake or illegitimate reviews like Yelp or other online sites. Thanks and have a great day "Jessica Broomstein and Lauren Nancy".

Not a real school. You cant tell by their website which uses photos of not their facilities so good luck trying to find a nonexistent location on the morning of your class!!They COULD tell you that they actually just borrowed a basement room inside a Chinatown housing project > inside the gated community > inside the projects residential senior citizens swim club called Seahorse. You really feel like you walked into some private community facilitiess back doorThere are NO SIGNS telling you where to go. Youre lucky if the gate attendant can tell if youre lost or if one of the kids playing basketball decide to say something. They dont even have their own sign with their business name nor logo - which would cost them like $20 to print! Pay attention to the other reviews on here of all the other people complaining about their NO REFUND POLICY. its not even that, its that if you cant find the hidden facility by the time your class starts, you will NOT BE ALLOWED TO START (depending on the instructor, so its a complete grab bag)Basically they scam people out of their money by giving you misleading pictures and then penalizing you on arrival. Easy business model. You should expect a lot more or giving somebody $130. Lastly this is ethically problematic- they tell you toward the end of the course BEFORE YOU ARE GIVEN A PASS to leave a good review. So COUGH, FYI just keep that in mind when you look at the good reviews on here. Imagine all the legit yoga classes you couldve taken, but no you had a fast one pulled over you.
Aquatic Solutions's reply
Hello Steven, thank you for writing this review. We take our customers satisfaction very seriously and we strive to deliver to every student we have the quality that has made us #1 for what we do. To agree on one point, we are not a school. We are a Licensed American Red Cross Training Center and proudly among the best in the business for what we do and we are not in a NYC Project. We also checked into when you took the class with us and it was 7 months ago. You may not have noticed the sign we have posted at our facility and a few other things especially if you arrived late and was rushing to get to our class. This is our facility that we lease and recently fully renovated from top to bottom with bright full LED Lighting, Air Conditioning, Flat Screen TV's in our 4 training rooms and Free Wi-fi as you claim we "borrowed a basement" which is 100% not the case with us and really implies a dirty low lit room which is absolutely incorrect. We are also on the ground floor right next to the pool we use for our Aquatic classes and we do have a sign upon entry where to go as well as a sign on our door. The security outside that lets you into our facility also directs our students to our center. Additionally you noted Yoga but we did not offer Yoga at the time you took our class. With regard to our classes I do not understand what "given a pass" means? We have standards and completion criteria that we apply to all our classes and apply them as per the American Red Cross guidelines for the particular class you are taking. We do not pass, coax, push or bribe people to write good reviews on our Google or Yelp sites but rather people write these good reviews because they like the experience and the instructor or a combination of factors. During your review you did not indicate the quality of the instruction you received which we assume was not an issue which is great as it means you were satisfied with it. We also have a very reasonable refund policy that we apply very fairly and is listed here: https://www.aquaticsolutions-cpr.com/courses-and-fees/. We noticed also from your e-mails with us that we allowed you to reschedule the missed class without any fee as a courtesy and you did not request any refund. With regards to some other bad reviews, we have had illegitimate reviews from competing vendors post false and misleading reviews which is being addressed. On the topic of lateness, if someone is very late and misses too much material we simply reschedule them without a fee if they had travel difficulties or other logistical issues to find our facility so we are not scamming them. Scamming implies we are taking their money and providing no service. We proactively work with the student to allow them to come back to another class in the event of a late arrival. In any event our pictures we post are all our facilities that we use from NYC to Riverhead NY and elsewhere. Our reputation in NY Metro area is top notch and we have no problem with anyone ever checking our credentials and training history with the American Red Cross at any time as a high volume provider as we welcome full transparency and strive to deliver the best training in the sector. Also, the location you took the class in is not located in Chinatown but rather on the lower East Side near the Williamsburg Bridge. We operate in a securely gated community which we actually picked for the reason of security guards not only for safety but especially to guide people if ever lost. We applaud all our reviewers of every type of legitimate review and in the event that a customer has an issue we are always available to help them out so we wish if you had any issue back in May that you would have communicated this to us rather than wait almost 7 months to write a review that quite honestly has a variety of inaccuracies and false and misleading statements. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any issue you have going forward and we wish you a wonderful holiday season.

So sick of companies like Aquatic Solutions who fails to deliver. Something wasnt right from the start with this horrible disaster of a LGI course. The instructor was forty minutes late so were off to a bad start. The rest of the day was spent with the instructor telling stories and chit chatting away with students about this and that and hours fiddling around with the videos. The pool was horrible and crowded with screaming children and mothers. We also had to keep moving to different sections of the pool, all the while our tiny section was constantly being invaded by screaming children and their caretakers. It was an absolute nightmare. The instructor kept repeating to everyone, Youre doing it wrong. It was very frustrating and disrespectful of everyones time. Id look around and students were either sleeping, rolling their eyes, texting or putting a finger to their head pretending to shoot themselves. Two days of that, it was completely crazy. On the last day a new instructor showed up who spent an enormous amount of time texting, calling and checking his phone. I was never afforded a proper course. There was never any mention of what was expected of me. It started poorly and unprofessionally and ended the same way. American Red Cross would have been absolutely appalled had they witnessed the way the course was conducted. How they get positive reviews is extremely suspect.

Hello, as we have been again trying to explain to you for some time now was that your base level skills, base level knowledge and skill demonstration for a Lifeguarding Instructor course was an issue, was unfortunately insufficient and affected your performance in the class that you attended in the late Spring last year. You unfortunately did not show improvement sufficient enough for you to pass the course and we tried every step of the way to help you and improve your skills to an acceptable level. Pools do get crowded due to thier general programming and on occasion it can be challenging running classes with other activities however we have always worked around such activities. Other claims you are now making almost 9 months after the class are simply not true and very unfortunate and we tried every which way to help you pass the class including having you try the course again at a completely different and generally quieter pool with a completely different Instructor at zero additional charge which you did not want. As the top American Red Cross Aquatics provider training thousands of students annually in various American Red Cross courses we have also trained and certified the vast majority of Instructors in the area for Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguarding Instructors and First Aid/CPR/AED Instructors for over 15 years now and each one of them needed to have a solid and acceptable base level skill foundation when taking the Instructor class and should anyone not have this foundation it would likely affect thier class performance during the course. Again, we tried to help you as we do everyone as best as we could and we found it very odd and suspect that someone possessed a base level Lifeguarding certification to which having that certification should have translated to satisfactory performance for base level performance and skill knowledge. We also have responded via email for you to contact our local Red Cross Aquatic Specialist in the area who is very well aware of the courses we conduct and the quality and attention to American Red Cross standards that we put in. In sum we did all we can to assist, guide and help you as we do all our students and it is regrettable you do not see it that way nor do you recognize the issues that caused the performance issues. We do wish you all the best and should you attempt the Instructor session elsewhere at some point we encourage you to review your American Red Cross Lifeguarding r17 skills fully as the Instructor course builds on these skills and is not designed to teach you Lifeguarding skills from the ground up which is what a base level class is for. Thanks and again we wish you all the best.

This company scamming people with LGI course. Before I purchased this course , I called and ask lady on a phone , if I will need to lift more than 10lb during the course ( I have extremely serious heart condition and I am 55 y.o) , and explain to her my situation. She sad that she will let instructor know and will accommodate me with it. When I came for class , instructor gave me 200lb man victim to get out of water with a help of 5 90lb girl ( who is also wasnt able to get him out). I almost drowned. When I managed to get out of water, I was out of breath and felt about to pass out. Instructor approached me and sad that I am failed test and he will not certified me!!!! But I can take lifeguard course, and come back for LGI . I am USA swimming coach with 20 years of experience ( mean I ve been decertified every 2 years with lifeguard certifications). I see what other people posted here about this scam. Instructors just forcing people to pay more money. Absolutely horrible!!!! .
Aquatic Solutions's reply
Your review is an absolute lie point blank. You came into the Lifeguarding Instructor class today and did not meet the minimum proficiency requirements that was sent to you very clearly in our email correspondence. You were given several chances to demonstrate the required proficiency and despite several chances you did not know the material. Your errors were indicative of not knowing the base level material anywhere near proficiency. No one from our company said that we would be ok with you coming into a Lifeguard Instructor class and not being able to demonstrate the skills. You accused our Instructor Trainer, who is held in high regard with the American Red Cross and has an impeccable teaching history, of numerous falsehood after falsehood in your emails with the last one being that he was Anti-Semitic. The owner of this company is Jewish. You need to really think about statements like this before you make them because it is extremely damaging, untrue and not professional. You admitted to taking a Lifeguarding Review class in far less time than it should have taken as per the American Red Cross standards about 45 days ago and questioned who would take a 10 hour Lifeguard review class. We then explained that taking such a short course is not up to the American Red Cross standards and that it was a disservice to you. On email you then proceeded to call the Instructor Trainer a liar and looking to save his job as you then backtracked on your earlier comments. The core issue here is that you did not know the material. You did not demonstrate proficiency in the required material and in order to be able to teach this material you need to know it. We treated you with respect and offered for you to come back and retry the course and that we would help you achieve the proficiency that was lacking today. We made this offer after hearing that you were given such a short Lifeguarding Review course and wanted to help you. Rather than accept our help (which as a courtesy we waived the retry fees and offered free base level assistance because of the inadequate training we believed you recieved- No one was trying to sell you anything) instead from you we have gotten email after email with claims that are simply not based in reality relative to the actual skill deficiencies that were shown today. You say you are an accomplished coach and you seem to imply that your tenure as a coach should somehow be relevant here but the American Red Cross does not allow for coaching experience to subsitute for the base level Lifeguarding material that you would be actually teaching as an instructor. We documented the numerous errors that were made and it was well in excess of just one issue. The story you outlined in this review about the extrication today in the water was 100% that basically you did not know the skills. You also did not disclose any medical condition to the Instructor Trainer today nor to us via email prior to the course in email. You were unfortunately not able to meet the objectives much less perform the American Red Cross Lifeguarding skills to standard and your knowledge of the material, not physical ability with any rescue was simply not proficient. You did not know any of the required skills and again we based your performance on what you told us about your extremely short Lifeguarding Review course that would not have adequately prepared you. It is our experience that when students obtain the proper training they often tend to do well in the Instructor classes. To be clear, our Lifeguarding Instructor classes are not illegitimate, unfair or discriminatory. To say anything of the sort is a deflection of the performance demonstrated by the student. We support our students to the best of our ability and within the boundaries of the American Red Cross and we cannot pass a student that does not meet the stated requirements. Wishing you all the best.
