- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We know every dog is different, and different training goals require different training schedules. That's why our Dog Training rate structure is meant to give the benefits of a training package, with the flexibility of getting as many or as few sessions as you actually need. Our first 90 minute Training Consultation allows us to assess your dog, discuss training goals, and design a training solution specific to your needs. For in-home sessions, the first 90 minute session is billed at $135 and each additional session is billed at $75 per hour. For online private sessions, the first m session is billed at $75 per hour, and each additional session is billed at $60 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether you are looking for training, walking, or sitting services, the first step is to tell us about your companion animal. What's their name? How old are they? Are they friendly with other dogs? Do they have any triggers? What behavioral issues would you like to address? Next, we'll confirm that you are in our service area. Our current service areas include Columbus Circle, Hell's Kitchen, Chelsea, Flatiron, and FiDi. If you are interested in Dog Training, we will schedule a 90 minute Training Consultation with one of our Trainers. If you are looking for Dog Walking or Pet Sitting Services, we will schedule a free meet and greet with the walkers and sitters who would be responsible for your care. Currently, we use an app-based software platform for scheduling and tracking services. Once we have your contact information, you will be added to our system and sent instructions for activating your account and downloading the app. You can then view your schedule, request new appointments, and add notes or special instructions for any of our services. For Dog Walking and Pet Sitting appointments, you will be sent an email update as soon as your appointment is completed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jenn, the owner, has studied with CATCH Dog Trainer's Academy and is Certified in Professional Dog Trainer Skills. Ayanna, is also a certified dog trainer and has received additional training to provide the reward based training techniques approved by Flipz Pet Care. All of our staff are background checked, and go through rigorous training, including shadowing our Trainers, learning about dog behavior and body language, how to approach cats and other animals, and our safety protocols.
