FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to be extremely fair in my pricing. College-level tutoring will likely be more expensive than high school or elementary school. Editing services will be competitive as well. In the case of financial hardship pricing can be discussed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to establish a good working and relationship. One where we both feel comfortable saying what's on our mind. I'm very respectful, easy going and have a great sense of humor. I like my clients to trust me and feel confident that I am on there to help.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Relative to tutoring, I have a Ph.D. in neuroscience and a BS in biochemistry. Research scientists must excel at reading and writing in order to communicate their findings, to apply for grants etc. Thus, I have developed into an accomplished writer having published over a dozen scientific articles and review papers. As far a subjects that I'm qualified to tutor, I've had advanced course work in nearly every biology subdiscipline I can think of including bacteriology, botony, ethology, primatology, ornithology, virology and zoology, systems and cellular/molecular neuroscience, and psychology. Chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry and physics round out the physical sciences. Algebra and statistics are also heavily used in my profession.
