FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I constantly attend workshops and seminars to keep my mind fresh. I'm also a voracious reader and am constantly sifting through peer reviewed journals to keep up with any evidence being discovered that either reinforces any previous fitness and nutrition knowledge or in some occasions disputes it. In addition to that I've also been a faculty at two different personal training schools in NYC and I also teach continuing education classes to fitness professionals.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Honestly I just fell into it. I graduated college with a BS in psychobiology and didn't really want to go into research so I decided to be a trainer to figure out what I wanted to do. When I realized fitness took all that science I learned over the years and applied it to human movement I was hooked. I eventually decided to go for my Master's cause I knew a certification and training experience wasn't enough.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I create fitness and nutrition programs that work with one's lifestyle. I also provide fitness and nutrition coaching in person or via email or over the phone.
