Introduction: I have been a Yoga teacher & Strength trainer for over 15 years in NYC, Boston & Los Angeles. I specialize in working with individuals over 50 years of age. I have had excellent success with my clients in achieving dramatic strength and wellness gains. I have received Yoga certifications through Integral Yoga NYC & additional certification from their Ashram in Virginia. I have certifications through SuperSlowZone (SSZ) as Personal Strength Trainer. I also have had extensive training/& experience in the practice of Thai Yoga Massage (ostensibly a facilitated yoga) - excellent for healing and restoration - taught to me by the Lotus Palm school. I received a BA from Vassar College. My strength training is unique because in addition to using MedX machines & free weights I also employ more ancient strength and coordination techniques. Such as Indian Clubs - excellent for shoulder issues and also Mace Swinging, a tremendous strength builder. I teach privately in NYC and the surrounding area, and I also instruct group classes. Chris is an amazing teacher who possesses a clear deep understanding of yoga gained through many years of practice, and reflected in his gentle and intuitive understanding of how to heal and strengthen the body. In my experience Chris worked on a particular knee injury - with his approach of "yoga therapy" my body felt it being healed through a holistic approach - which included stretching - strength work and postural alignment - in addition he has very caring & therapeutic energy. I left my time with Chris feeling renewed, limber and walking smoothly. I would highly recommend anyone to make an appointment with Chris and I'm quite sure they will have a rewarding and healing experience.

I have worked with Chris for two years and find him to be an extraordinary yoga instructor as well as one who is highly knowledgeable of body mechanics and the functional mechanisms important to everyday life. Apart from that he is an extraordinarily good listener and a compassionate trainer.

Chris is a great trainer. I've seen him for years for yoga and strength training and as a result I am strong, slim and flexible, and I look really good. I've had a number of trainers in my life, and he's by far the best. I highly recommend him.

Chris has been my personal trainer for two years. He is terrific - I highly recommend him. We meet twice a week and during each session he mixes up machines, yoga postures, bands, exercise apparatus, the mace, arm clubs and so forth. If I'm working through an injury or illness, Chris will tailor the session to have a restorative focus. The sessions are never dull and the results are great! I also appreciate that many of the exercises we do are easy for me to replicate at home. Chris has a wonderfully warm, low-key energy that I think most anyone would find appealing. Five stars!
