Danielle Hilty organized a fantastic wine and cheese reception for my office's most important and influential clients. She did everything for the entire event - from selecting a creative and interesting venue to arranging a wine tasting style approach to the reception (which our guests absolutely loved!) - and she was very easy and fun to work with. Danielle is professional, creative, and really knows how to organize events. I personally recommend her very strongly. If you want a great event that you and your guests thoroughly enjoy, go with Danielle!Jan 27, 2015
Danielle has played a vital role in shaping my Wine and Sherry selection at my bar Nitecap. After a quick chat, Danielle figured out exactly what direction I wanted to go and tasted me on a beautifully curated selection of wine. I also asked Danielle to come in and train my staff on all things Sherry. Her class left a lasting impression on my staff and my Sherry sales (which were lagging before) steadily increased thereafter. Danielle clearly loves what she does and clearly loves sharing her knowledge with others. Her vibrant personality, sharp sense of humor and wit make working with her a dream!Jan 24, 2015
Danielle and I have collaborated on many wine-focused dinners at CITY GRIT over the years. We were both excited to take a wine-driven approach to designing a menu versus selecting wines for an already established selection of dishes. This approach requires numerous tastings on a ridiculously large amount of wines. Danielle always showed a tremendous amount of patience with our kitchen team and boundless enthusiasm when tasting wines and developing menus for our dinners. Her contributions were invaluable and enabled us to host fun, highly educational dinners without the typical pomp and circumstance usually associated with wine events!Jan 20, 2015

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I recently underwent the examination in the Court of Master Sommeliers, not a necessary accomplishment for my day job but I feel like it gives my customers more confidence in my work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Leading staff trainings to educate restaurant staff about wine so they can better serve their guests. Finding wines that pair best with the restaurants food menu.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Look for someone who has a personal connection to the wine and its maker because that will make the biggest impression on you and your guests. It's about making the wine experience more meaningful and learning how to be discerning when choosing wine. There's a lot of mediocre wine out there!
