I've been learning from Dom for a bit shy of two months now and have been loving every minute of it. While I'm a neophyte on guitar, my mother is a music teacher (guitar/piano/voice) and I grew up with vocal coaching at various levels, so I have experience with a variety of music training. I found Dom to be incredibly responsive; as other reviewers have touched on, he starts from the very beginning with vital information that I merely glossed over when self-teaching other instruments, but he will quickly amp up the pace of your lessons to your speed of learning. At this point, I leave each lesson feeling challenged, but I come into the next week with enough understanding to grow and meet the next batch. I'm also taking bass lessons with him once a month, and the sessions dovetail nicely into each other. He has a wealth of music history and experience at his disposal and you would do well to take advantage of that. Also, he has two of the sweetest cats I've come across in a while, so there's that.
David has been able to teach me every style of playing I've brought to him. I look forward to meeting up with David every week to learn something new that I can work into my guitar playing.
I can't say enough fantastic things about Christopher. He taught my daughter in home guitar lessons. He is professional, responsible, easy to work with and a genius on guitar. He taught my daughter so much and she plays beautifully. I would recommend him to anyone!
My daughter had a terrific guitar lesson with Diana who was very patient with great attention to the fundamentals and we look forward to working with her again.
I've been taking lessons from Jimi on guitar and bass for years. Excellent teacher.
Great teacher! Was a brand new guitar player.
Guitar lessons can be boring, but not with Steve. Steve's guitar playing its Eddie Van Halen's level and best of all is that he is very humble and a funny teacher. He will take his time to explain you note by note on the entire fretboard. I always have fun learning new scales, arpeggios, triads etc. with Steve. You will actually get exited every time a guitar lesson with him is coming up. A guitar instructor that actually knows how to play pretty much anything on guitar, but if you are into Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, you should definitely take guitar lessons with Steve. - Winston Beast Master (Khiazma band)
Josh is terrific. He immediately made a connection with my 9 year old daughter and 13 year old son. From the beginning he gave them so easy things to do on the guitar so that they are playing songs from the start. And my kids are happily practicing. Josh was a great find.
My son had his first guitar lesson last week. Drew is punctual, professional, friendly, and great with kids.. it was easy to set up a day and time that works best for us. Looking forward to our next lesson. Lena
He's actually teaching guitar to my son Bernardo. He is great teacher, not just a great musician, very nice and very inspiring! Bernardo is very happy with him!
I have always wanted to learn to play the guitar, so I decided to try to give it a go on my own last year. Watching youtube's, buying iphone apps but found myself not really gaining any momentum. My boyfriend bought me lessons for Christmas with Josh and I am so happy he did. Josh is incredibly thorough, insightful and taking classes with him has been a blast. He breaks it down and really helps you understand the fundamentals of playing the guitar. I'm several lessons in and I already feel like I'm miles ahead from when I started. I HIGHLY recommend Josh, he's a wonderful teacher and learning from him has been so seamless! - ALANA
Awesome teacher, a lot of guitar teachers dont focus on theory or teaching you how to understand guitar and instead focus on songs and I'm glad to say Kyle isn't one of those teachers
Inspiring jazz guitar lessons: technique, theory, chord melody, improvisation.
My time during guitar practice was wonderful and I learned a great amount about not only guitar, but music in general. Very patient with students and very friendly.
Mr. Connor has been working with my children the last two years. He is an amazing teacher who is very patient and kind to my children. He is teaching them Chinese, singing, drum and guitar. Unlike other teacher we had in the past, Mr. Connor incorporate games and songs into all his lessons which makes language learning much more interest. My children adores Mr. Connor and looking forward to work with him every time.
I've been playing guitar on and off for many years, and have tried a number of teachers, but I always come back to the same thing- I get a pile of instructions and scales from someone and I look at the guitar and decide I don't want to play it. This all changed after I met Jeremy- he knew exactly how to make me excited to pick up the instrument. I'm still not exactly sure how he did it, but since I started with him I can't wait to get to my guitar. He has a method he uses where he finds ways to make practicing fun, or at least have immediate results. A truly excellent teacher A+++.
John is an excellent teacher; I can tell he is bringing years of experience in guitar and applies it to his teaching. He also seems to very much enjoy working with kids. My 10 year old daughter learned so much from a summer of guitar classes with John. Highly recommended!
Chanan was a joy to work with! Knowledgeable and skilled and very creative. He helped produce a record of sacred music for me and also provided back up guitar for my band when needed a few times in Dallas. He is an exceptional engineer and guitar player with a fine ear for detail.
Jonathan Kalb has been my guitar teacher now for a little over a half a year and Im delighted to say, I am much more than pleased with my lessons; I cant wait until the next one comes thats how good. I took lessons previously and was OK with them, but found myself wandering and lacking a sense of commitment to the teacher and to my studies. Dry. Im not a kid anymore and was looking for a teacher who could work with my adult enthusiasm, excitement, my talent, and not be rooted to teaching me the pentatonic scales in all keys before we could get to some playing and having some fun, too... I was hoping for a teacher who could personalize his teaching skills, and for me, Jonathan came through with flying colors. Hes so much more than a One Size Fits All teacher; hes a real person reachable, able to identify my needs, my strengths and weaknesses, and takes this into full consideration during our lessons. Hes an experienced, talented teacher. Simple. Hes a person that really knows his stuff from musical theory to the many styles of playing, i.e., blues, jazz, folk, country and even rock; he can play and more importantly he can teach um all! Im an aspiring singer/songwriter and in addition to helping me define those strange chords Im playing, he inspires me to grow on. Oh, and one more thing: If your lesson is an hour long and theres something important happening, he wont cut you off - hell take the extra time needed to get you to the end of the measure, comfortably.
Brian Duggan has been teaching my son guitar for over 4 years. He is a talented guitar player and teacher. Brian is patient and passionate about music. He is able to grade his teaching to the needs of any type of student. He is consistently on time for lessons and has included my son in gigs to help him continue to develop his skills.
I had been writing songs on the guitar for a year and a half when I started lessons with Natalia. Meeting weekly on Skype/Zoom she had me writing more and better stuff while also working on guitar technique. After working four months with her I had one of my songs win a song writing contest here in Seattle which led to a CD and paid concert gig! I couldn't have imagined I'd be writing at this level so quickly but working with a professional like Natalia can really accelerate your learning. I'm sure I'll be taking lessons from her years from now
