I've been wanting to start guitar lessons for awhile but it's always seemed so daunting. Jason took all the pain out of finding an instructor. He set me up with a great teacher and pointed me towards a custom lesson package for beginners. I'm on my second lesson with Jonah and couldn't be happier. Thanks Reverb Lessons!

I have been taking banjo lessons from Richard Stillman for a year. He is a patient and inspiring teacher who listens to what his students want and adjusts his teaching accordingly. When I get stuck in between lessons, I can call him for advice. He will record difficult passages online so that you can reference them while practicing. If you want to play a particular style of music, he will find pieces for you. He is also an extremely talented musician and performer, with an impressive list of instruments that he has mastered. I highly recommend him.

I've been working with Eoin since January. I am a complete newbie and am amazed at how far I've come since starting my guitar lessons with him. Aside from his incredible talent as a musician, he has a real knack for teaching. He is extremely patient and able to work with you at your own pace. A nice guy with loads of knowledge when it comes to music theory. You couldn't ask for a better instructor.

Brian Boyle has learned the tricks of the trade through tireless study of many music styles with the guitar as his focus. His keen ear is informed by his experience performing and composing in a variety of music styles, including rock, jazz, folk and pop. I have been fortunate enough to share the stage as well as work in the studio with Brian on many occasions, and he has never failed to impress me with his musical sensitivity and endless creativity. His curiosity and natural talent is equally matched by his ability to explain difficult concepts to others. I would not hesitate to recommend Brian as a guitar teacher for anyone, of any level.

Mr. Nick Russo is an absolutely great guitar player and music instructor. I'm a young professional jazz guitarist and instructor and have been taking jazz guitar lessons with Nick Russo weekly since September of 2014. Every lesson, I receive a lot of information that I didn't know before and Nick always give me proper quantity and quality of task Many ideas, information from his suggestions, including how to practice myself and instruction that goes beyond musical and guitar technique, also including psychological and philosophical concepts from Nick's experience and knowledge. His explanations are incredibly clear and easily to follow. I've been playing guitar over 15 years. In my experience, it's very, very difficult to find a mentor like Nick Russo. I truely appreciate meeting him and have tremendous respect for Professor Russo. Thanks as always Nick!! Koji Yoneyama (professional jazz guitarist and instructor), Dec. 23, 2014

3 of my kids take piano, voice and/or violin lessons at LSM and I'm always amazed with how much they learn from one lesson. They are always coming home with new assignments/skills/things to work on.

dan taught me for about a year when I was first getting into guitar. he cared a lot about my personal learning curve, gauging how much prior music knowledge I had from other instruments and how we could translate it to guitar, while figuring out what areas were entirely new to me and would require more guidance. I always felt like we worked at the right pace, spending all the extra time on fretting techniques that my super tiny hands required (pinky-smaller-than-a-baby-carrot tiny) but moving more swiftly through chord progression analysis, etc. also - and this is a big also - he has (in my opinion) superb music taste and some serious chops on multiple instruments. these things matter when you want a teacher you can vibe with. check out his YouTube rendition of the Super Mario 64 "End Theme" and see for yourself, even though that barely scratches the surface. the songs we played spanned a variety of genres - jazz, classic rock, folk, pop - and it was clear that his fluency in the language of music as both a listener and player was what made him such a skilled teacher. I think the most important thing is that our time together spurred a lifelong interest in guitar for me and solidified my already established love for music, which is the mark of a truly gifted teacher. no matter what skill level you're at, he will find a way to help you reach the next one. and he's not bad to look at either. I'm just kidding. nah I'm not. eternally grateful for you, dflo! keep killin' it, and hope to play with you again someday.

I understand music theory extremely well, and i understand which parts of it work best for easily writing advanced guitar parts. I know all the little tricks that make it easy for younger, or very novice players to understand what is being taught and how to apply the information.
