Posterity Studio has had a wonderful positive influence on my singing career. I enjoy the opportunity to work with a knowledgeable teacher and continuously learn new things. David consistently shows his love and passion for music through his expert instruction of various singing techniques along with his remarkable piano playing abilities.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Chris for a few months now, and I can hear a clear difference in my playing. He is a great teacher, very patient and encouraging. As a fellow music teacher myself, I can say that his level of musicianship is very impressive. Chris is also very flexible with his scheduling, which is very helpful. I highly recommend him to everyone out there.
Had introductory lesson but paid full price because I felt she deserved it as she extended time to my son and was very knowledgeable and kind. My son also liked her instruction style very much. Hope to continue lessons in the near future.
I've now had two lessons with Hannah at the Pop Vocal Academy and I'm really loving it. I'm already starting to see improvement, and I'm having my third lesson tomorrow. She is very encouraging and supporting, and really knows what she is talking about. I've been taking classical lessons for years, and it's really something different taking pop lessons, but Hannah is definitely making it easier for me to make the most of my voice within the pop genre. I definitely recommend taking lessons with the Pop Vocal Academy.

Tony was great! I had to a short voiceover and he made MP3 and WAV files and I sent them off to great success. He's friendly and professional. He has a sound studio in his beautiful apt in Washington Heights. I'd use him again definitely.

I work with Peter in several capacities. One of Peter's strengths is that he is an exception teacher. He has been working with me for the past year an a half on songwriting which involves lyrics and music. Recently we have increased the songwriting instruction to include the computer software "Logic". Peter gives all during these lessons. It is not just a job to him that cuts off when the clock reaches a certain time. Peter is genuine, in that he is teaching me to be the best songwriter that I can be. Peter has also produced and directed several special programs at Third Church. Peter is committed to excellence in demanding the best out of the performers, sound, lighting, and all involved with these programs. Each program was a delight to the audience and to the Church. In another capacity, Peter is mentoring me in the role of producer for events at the Church. He has given me pointers with selecting the program, sound, lighting, and selecting performers. Peter taught a seminar at one of the weekend Summits at Third Church which overflowed with attendance. He made the seminar fun and inspirational as well as gave each person tools to where they could make immediate improvements. Watchfire Music is a fabulous tool for selecting solo music for Church services and special events. Peter has done a great job in constructing this website. Both his talent of creativity and eye for detail has worked hand in hand in making this tool a success.
Javier is a very knowledgeable, helpful and professional tutor. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs help . He was friendly and supportive and did an excellent job in ensuring I understood the material that was being covered during the duration of the lesson. He was extremely dedicated and overall excellent.
The Ableton lessons I took from Srikala were highly informative, and delivered in an efficient and enjoyable manner. He knows how to convey technical information and assist the student in its practical application. The results have served me well in my own work and pursuits in electronic music. I highly recommend his instruction.
Nick is not only an outstanding musician, but he is a superb teacher as well. He taught my two sons for a period of approximately 3 years, and thanks in large part to his excellent approach, both of my kids were accepted to University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and collectively made over $1000 in gigs playing together using the skills that next taught them. The guy knows what he is doing. Contact this fellow immediately!
Totally recommend Michele If quality is what you looking for, then you'll definitely go to him. He didn't rush me but took his time and made sure I got what i was looking for. Also the studio environment was perfect and really comfortable. Definitely will go to him again.
My company, THE MARK dance company, worked with Cuong in the summer of 2012. We collaborated on 2 pieces of music in a 3 section work. It was a really great first experience at working with a composer and learning how to talk about music back and forth. Cuong was very gracious with listening to my ideas and adding his own input as we created the dance/music. He was also very willing to re-work sections of music that I wanted modified after the 1st draft was sent, as we tailored it to the dance (which had been pre-choreographed in silence). These attributes of willingness and humility to adjust one's own work for the greater good of the piece as a whole is so important, and I am so glad I was able to work with someone who had these characteristics. He is a hard worker and I look forward to working with him again in the future! Arlynn Zachary (Artistic Director, THE MARK dance company)
I took weekly private lessons from Julius for about 3 months. Initially I went to him for basic instructions on how to play the simple classics (The Beatles, Oasis, John Denver, etc.) but ended up developing a strong fascination and love for the Blues after watching Julius improvise over "Pride and Joy" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. From that point on I started looking into music that I hadn't really paid any attention to previously and discovererd many amazing bands that inspired me to take the guitar seriously. Julius also taught me some basic music theory and even started teaching me how to read notation instead of tablature (which was awesome because I have always wanted to learn how to read music but never put in the effort). Needless to say, I got so much more than basic guitar lessons from Julius and would recommend him to musicians of any level. If I ever move back to the city I will definitely start up with him again.
Great job.... industry professional. Great work ethic.... had a project that I need a skilled recording engineer and Shamel came through and delivered an outstanding product. I will definitely hire him again.
A little bit about my experience and myself: I'm currently teaching Audio Engineering and Production to undergraduate students at The New School in New York City. There, I worked on projects with world-class recording artists including: Jullian Lennon, Krs-One, Shakira, M.I.A, Pete Rock, Gov'ÃÂt Mule, Mike Stern, Marley Marl, Busta Rhymes, etc, In addition, i am the FOH Sound Engineer for Reggae and Alternative Rock artist Matisyahu, and have been touring around the world extensively with the band Gogol Bordello as their FOH engineer. I have also mixed and produced their best selling albums. I have been involved with a few side projects as well, including: Madonna's Filth and Wisdom film as the FOH engineer on set in London, and a world tour with Universal Latin artist Christian Castro. Over the past few years I have dedicated my time to building a Pro Tools HD-based recording studio located in Long Island City, with a waterfront view of Manhattan. I specialize in providing personal lessons on Protools, studio engineering, mixing and mastering.
