Introduction: Production
My role as a producer means doing whatever it takes to capture an artist's ideas and create a successful record. When making a record, I draw from both my creative and technical backgrounds.
I work with artists and their songs to fill in the blanks, either by doing it myself or bringing in my talented friends to help. My goal as a producer is to marry together an artist's music with a unique sonic aesthetic that enhances the power of their record.
Mixing
Mixing is one of my favorite parts of making a record. It's the last opportunity to add (or subtract) energy to a song's production/arrangement. Although it can seem like it, creating a great mix isn't just a technical process. It's all about presenting the songs in a way that elicits emotion from the listeners.
It's all about maximizing the impact of a song and directing the audience's attention towards the best elements of the production.
Engineering
I continue to cut my teeth in NYC as the house engineer at multiple studios, working with a wide array of artists on a daily basis.
My approach when working as an engineer on a project is to make the raw recorded tracks sound as good as possible and as early as possible. When working as both the producer and engineer on a project, I'm able to begin establishing the shape of a song from the beginning.
Consulting
I team up with artists, companies, fellow producers and engineers to brainstorm, strategize and implement creative ideas. I understand the importance of social media and know how to maximize its impact.
I enjoy studying and analyzing trends in all facets of the music business. By having worked with not just artists but also record and publishing companies, manufacturers, lawyers and promoters, I have gained a unique perspective and a wealth of contacts in the industry.

Martin is an amazing producer! I must have interviewed tens of producers in NY, Martin was the only person who was more interested in the music than the money. When we signed the contract, Martin jumped right into the project with hands and feet. He was very understanding to what I wanted and shared so many ideas. He wrote the string arrangements to the songs and taught me how to alter chord progressions on a couple of tracks to take the song into a higher level!! I loved how he took care of everything in NY too. From booking the session musicians, to the rehearsals and recording sessions. It was amazing how everything moved exactly as planned. Martin is a whiz in the studio as well, he knows his way around softwares, mics, kits, and amps! I soon realized that I was very lucky that I found a producer who can write music, play instruments, engineer recording sessions, and produce! I must have saved half of what I would have paid had I gone with someone else. The best part is the songs are done now and I could not be happier, Martin was extra patient at the mixing stage and really delivered on this. He went out of the way to keep me happy and treated my dream of making an album as his own. I will forever be thankful for his work and will definitely work with him again. Much love, Tarek Sidani

I recently worked with Martin Fuks when he mixed and masterized my CD Im Working on Something. The entire project consisted of 14 tracks with varying degrees of complexity in instrumentation and sound. These songs had been recorded over a period of many years in many different studios with diverse musicians and in two different countries. Needless to say there was little unity to the sound and artistry of the songs. Martin came in the mixing stage and finished the master that I sent for reproduction.
Martin is a creative professional who put all the time and effort needed so I was happy with my CD. His work on my project was outstanding. He was methodical and efficient using an enormous wealth of knowledge he seems to have at his fingertips. His knowledge of how to make the song sound according to my wishes is impressive. He is also a great musician so his ear was very helpful offering suggestions and having me add just a couple of extra instruments that my initial recording didnt have and need it. However he respect it the original intentions of musicians and composers. He did not want to impose his way in mixing. He was very attentive to my directions.
He was always on time and didnt shy from staying longer hours than previously anticipated. He is also fun to work with. He is patient and courteous. He was genuinely interested in my project and it shows on the final product. I would not hesitate to call him back to work on my next project!
