My husband and I read all the wonderful reviews about Michael, met with him, and checked his references before hiring him so we were not expecting to worry or be disappointed while traveling. We agreed Michael would arrive on Friday at 5pm and leave Monday morning by 7am. During this time he would tend to our dog and water our plants. Michael arrived around 830pm (had our super check the security tapes), on Friday. He texted us on Sunday and told us he was going to leave at 9pm, which was quite concerning that he thought it was would be OK to leave our dog alone and unintended over night despite our agreement being until Monday morning. Can't help but question his judgement. We came home to dead plants, a freezer half open which defrosted our food which we had to throw all away. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?In the beginning, I always make a point of personally visiting the client and his or her pet(s) in the comfort of their own home. This typically provides the client with the opportunity to give me the run-down on things like grooming habits, specific diets, and administering medication when necessary. I also like to leave a unique, handwritten note to each client before I leave. I like to think of it as a gesture to display my gratitude for the client's hospitality.
