I’ll try to keep it tame here because my blood boils when I think back to my decision to hire Corey Benoit to photograph our wedding. ZERO STARS. Corey missed our wedding ceremony. His excuse was traffic. At the end of our reception, Corey insisted upon payment in full. It is now over a year since our wedding and Corey has failed to provide us our pre-purchased wedding albums. Apparently, the vendor Corey uses no longer makes albums (I include his response below). Those are the headlines. The details if you’re interested are as follows: The package we purchased included photos for pre-ceremony, ceremony, formal family after ceremony, reception, photojournalistic of decor and venues, and candid throughout the reception, online portal to access and view all photos, print ordering from the online portal, all photos edited and color corrected, photo retouching, digital download access for all photos - 2 8x10, 4 5x7, 20 4x6 and 2 wallet prints (Fuji premium profession lab prints) - 8x10 signature pressed wedding album. ¥ Corey failed to provide the pre-ceremony, ceremony, and edited photos, photo retouching, and the wedding album; ¥ It took Corey 8 months to provide us digital photos, after us repeatedly inquiring as to the status (he cited endless excuses for his delay); ¥ Despite missing our wedding ceremony, Corey insisted upon payment in full at the end of our reception (when we really had no choice because he had all the reception photos) and failed to reimburse us for any portion of the cost; ¥ Not one apology or recognition from Corey that he failed to deliver as promised; and ¥ Corey has refused to deliver us our pre-purchased wedding albums, claiming as of March 2018: I have a deal with them where they give them to be at a very low cost so I provide them for free in the packages. I do not charge for them. Therefore I have to wait for them to update me, I do not have any control over it. I can’t estimate the timeframe if they don’t provide one. Right now they are not printing as they are low on supplies and have a large queue already full. So I am waiting to hear from them. We have not heard from Corey since his email in March and can only presume that he has no intention of delivering our albums. Final note – I have never left a review in my life. But this was so shocking and disturbing that I couldn’t sit idle while someone else fell victim to this huckster. I was looking for an option for negative stars, but there is not one. So, that’s a big ZERO. It is shameful that someone touts himself as dedicated to memorializing such a special occasion and then craps all over it. Not sure how he sleeps at night. The good news is that the videographer was excellent, so we took the raw footage and put together a phenomenal video at our own separate cost that we love.Jun 24, 2018Verified
If you want to wait more than half a year for your video and photos to be delivered then get this guy, for me its been more than 7 months and counting and ive only gotten the low resolution photo proofs, not even a way to download the full resolution photos!!!, i feel like the 2600ish i paid (ON TIME) wasn't worth it, lets just hope i get the video this year!!! My wife is so upset she wants to get a lawyer involved bcs Corey cant even tell us a solid date for when we're getting the HDD with video and photos.May 24, 2018VerifiedCorey B.'s reply
Hello Raul. Photos were delivered a very long time ago. Also the screenshot shows you messaging me on thumbtack however we have been talking via email. You rated me 5 stars so I know that this is not a truthful review.
