Piano Lessons (for adults)
I highly recommend Randy. He is perfect for people of all skills and abilities and created individually tailored lessons that led to tremendous growth in my playing ability. Beyond just teaching technique and theory, Randy helped my cultivate a deeper understanding of music which had a direct effect on my playing style. The lessons were fun and affordable, and Randy was flexible with his scheduling. I highly recommend.Apr 24, 2017Verified

Randy is an excellent teacher! He is well versed in all aspects of music ~ playing it, writing it, notating it, expressing it etc. I am a professional musician and Randy is helping me to become a better one! He knows the Finale and Logic Pro softwares inside and out. His teaching style allows for students of all levels to learn and improve! I give him an A+ !!!!Apr 15, 2015Verified
Music Composition Lessons
Based on just one lesson so far Randy seems terrific an outstanding musician and an inspiring teacher. He quickly understood my abilities and goals; the work he assigned is both fun and challenging. I plan to continue music composition lessons with him.Sep 22, 2014Verified
Randy is the perfect piano teacher -- he is knowledgeable and flexible. Each lesson is customized to my experience. I have played guitar for 25 years and what I have learned from Randy in 3 lessons has been worth its weight in gold. Highly recommend!May 11, 2014Verified
I've been a serious songwriter for the past 15 years and arrived at a dead-end. As my light grew dimmer and dimmer for the past 5 years, Randy completely regenerated my love for the craft within the first 15 minutes of our first lesson. He is a MASTER SONGWRITING COACH. For his trajectory and position in the music world, it is humbling that he is teaching. Randy is a full on musician with over 1,300 songs under his name. He rips that piano like it's nobody's business and can make a coherent song & lyric within minutes. He has extensive knowledge of life and music and is funny and easy going too. Thank you Randy, I am grateful to have found you!May 9, 2014Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I require a 24 hour cancellation of a lesson or the student is charged. I have a waiting list for students and it isn't fair to others or to me as a teacher for a late cancellation. I suggest an every other week lesson schedule if my fee is too high for once a week. I design the work around that schedule. This method is preferred by many students.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I immediately ask about the goals of the student. Why do they want to play piano??? I am very concerned that the student is headed in the direction they want to proceed right from the start. I am a very caring teacher.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a 30 plus year career in music as a pianist. See my bio for awards, etc. My main focus is to be musical at whatever level the student is at. I am still a student of piano as well as a teacher. My joy is seeing someone being musical.
