I was in NYC with my husband. While he was working, I took the opportunity to take Spanish lessons. My weakness is in conversation. I had (5) 1.5 hour lessons with Laura and it was great! She got down to business and really focused on the task at hand- she is flexible and accessible. if I could have taken more lessons, I would have! I look forward to working with her again on my next visit! I really appreciated her encouragement, more than anything! Cynthia N.

Excellent flexibility and support in preparing for an exam to qualify as a bilingual staff member at work. And I passed! Julie has great teaching skills and a professional and well thought out way of presenting the information. It was a huge help that lessons could be done online as we live far apart. Thank you!!

I love Marion's French lessons! She is very attentive and prepared for every class. She also took my suggestion of my preferable way of learning a new language and catered every class to my needs. She is fun and open-minded. I highly recommend her as your French teacher!

Luanna is a fantastic language instructor! She fully immerses her student in the Portuguese language; however, she is careful to tailor his or her study to the specific student's needs and retention. I have enjoyed my lessons with her to date and eagerly await my future ones!

Hiro is an excellent online teacher! The textbook he chose is easy to follow and he is able to adapt perfectly to your pace. Originally from Kyoto, he is very knowledgeable about what words and phrases are outdated and will let you know what Japanese people actually use nowadays. After learning from Hiro from only 6 months, I was able to use basic Japanese quite often on my trip to Tokyo. He was sure to focus on how I pronounced everything and sure enough, everyone understood me! I couldn't be happier with my lessons and will be referring anyone looking for an online Japanese tutor to him. :)

I love the Italian language and culture and realized my speaking abilities from my university studies were rustier than I thought during a recent trip to Italy this past summer. Upon my return to the States, I immediately sought private tutoring and I could not be more satisfied in finding Mariateresa. I've seen vast improvement in my comprehension and speaking since I started taking lessons with her. The first couple months were focused on fundamentals and book work but now each lesson begins with about 30 mins of conversation (in Italian of course) before diving into books. I cannot recommend Mariateresa enough regardless of your comprehension level because not only does she challenge me every week to improve my skill but the time spent with her is very enjoyable and something I look forward to every week.

Hi, Ana has been my Spanish tutor since last October. She is very professional, always on time and very friendly. I am French, I had study Spanish in Spain for 6 month long ago and I needed it to refresh and improve it because of my job here. Ana is doing a good job, se prepares her lessons very carefully and I am learning and improving all my Spanish skills in a fun way through videos, songs, articles, games.. It is always something new! I only miss to study a little more grammar but I know is boring and she prefers to include it through exercises related to the lesson we are studying at that moment. But, absolutely, I recommend her lessons. Blandine

About

I am an individual with a very unusual linguistic and cultural background. I grew up in NJ amid a rustic form of Venetian spoken at home and first brought to the Bronx by maternal grandparents, who are Italian immigrants. My grandmother has inspired my love of both Italy and the peninsula's rich tapestry of regional cultures. I received a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to study dialectology at the University of Venice in 2006-2007. After that very fruitful and memorable year of linguistic and cultural dialogue, I went on to graduate study at the University of Chicago, where, even in an Introductory Italian course, I was able to reach all my students with Italy's very diverse history.

About

I create creative lessons for children to learn Spanish at home. I accommodate the classes to the child's pace of learning. I build a playful environment for maximum results.

About

I perform English to Russian translations in order to help industry and business run smoothly. People do not specifically pay for the translation; they pay for the value that it adds and the message that it conveys. I always keep that fact in mind and make sure that my translation conveys the correct message.

About

I am an academic writer who is specialized in both English and Spanish languages. I translate documents, write reviews for companies, and teach Spanish to foreigners and English to Spanish speakers. My classes are interactive and didactic. I use a website, Edmodo, to teach my lessons. I am flexible with time, and if there is something to translate on time, I can work under pressure.
