Jose and I worked together for about year or so. I loved working with him because he pushed me when I needed it and understood my emotional ups/downs. It was the first time I was dedicating myself to working out and he was always very supportive but he also kept me accountable for myself. He also gave me the confidence to physically test myself in ways that I never had done before. We stopped working together because my personal circumstances changed, so I could not continue training. If given the opportunity, I would work with him again!

I've been exercising and training boxing/mma with Jose for almost 3 years by now,all I can say is that he's one of the best trainers/mentors in new york city,he has a lot of experience in fitness and martial arts,when you hire a trainer,you dont only need a person who's going to teach you how to workout,you will need a person who will honestly care about your health and well being,Jose is one of those rare trainers who really understand body mechanics,he always has a solid answer for your questions about exercise,at the same time he's training you,he's explaining every single detail of each workout you're performing and how it will help you to achieve your fitness goals! Do not hesitate in hiring him as a trainer,your investment will be worth it,plus you'll always want to come back sooner for your next training session!

I have trained with José for some time now and he is quite thorough, knowledgeable and professional. He pushes you to reach your best potential-- past where you think you could go. I highly recommend him to anyone for weight training or MMA.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    The system of ​pricing is straight forward. 5 sessions 5 percent off, 10 sessions 10percent off, 20 sessions up to 50 sessions 15 percent off, upwards of 50 sessions 30percent off discount. All sessions expire at twice the number of weeks of the package purchased so if you purchase 10 sessions for example you have 20 weeks to use them. there is 24 cancellation policy. with a 72 hour rescheduling window within the time of cancellation only with extreme situations or bereavement. My in home service rate is competitive with the market rates for most local gyms. And trainers with my level of experience.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Most of my continuing ed is in my field of practice , however, ​I do stay up to date with the monthly journal of strength and conditioning NSCA

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I love knowing my body and testing its limitations. I never thought anyone would pay for the knowledge I have acquired over my years of training. When I left the news production business, I wanted flexibility and I did not want to sit all day and feel like what I did for a living did have a positive impact on the lives of others.
