FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The most important thing to understand is that paying a couple of hundred dollars more for a true professional can save you thousands of dollars in taxes. A certified public accountant heavily experienced in taxation will be able to provide far more value than an enrolled agent or other tax preparer with no certification. Fees are completely based on the complexity of a client’s tax return. We will discuss the situation and assess what is most appropriate. Don't go for the lower priced tax preparation right away, you could be costing yourself a great deal of money in lost tax savings.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Any new customer I work with will be setup on a secure client portal to share his or her documents. He/she will also sign an engagement letter so both parties are comfortable and protected. After the client has uploaded all documents to the portal, I get to work. When the job is done, I explain everything to the client and make sure they understand their tax situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Along with a CPA license and a master’s degree in accountancy, I have worked at some of the largest public tax firms in the country for many years. I have managed tax accounts for some of the wealthiest Americans, as well as accounts for the every day worker.
