Milton Suqui of S & L Tree Service, and his colleague, Freddie, helped me remove a 60' tree, 18" diameter at the base, that had fallen into a tidal river adjacent to our property. The tree needed to come out immediately otherwise it would become a sieve catching winter blow down and other debris, and jeopardizing our little dock. Get all the estimates you want from Thumbtack.com, but do yourself a favor and give Milton the first chance to do an onsite "final" estimate. Not only did Milton give me the best price, but he and Freddie came with equipment, ready to go the day of the on-site survey, and immediately got to work. Remember, the tree was in the river, so there were some obstacles along the way, including submerged boulders which made the task more difficult, but our little team succeeded in accomplishing the goal. Using block and tackle, pulleys, ratchet straps, a pair of neoprene waders, and a couple of hearty chainsaws, the job was handled efficiently. All of the pieces of the stumps, and branches, and brush were piled neatly above the flood zone to create a new home for woodland creatures. If they can remove a large tree from a moving, tidal river, imagine what they can do for you on dry land. Highly recommend.

David was really nice and did everything he said he would. I would definitely hire him again. He cleared out an overgrown side lot, leveled a tree stump, and removed other heavy junk from the property.

I originally wanted one hedge (5-ft) removed and another 12 ft hedge trimmed. Ozzy determined that he could cut the 5ft hedge level with the ground but would not be able to get the roots and stumps completely. I agreed to him cutting it level with the ground because the hedge was large enough to partially block my view when driving in or out of my driveway and I felt it was unsafe. We negotiated the price and he did not want a down payment. Actually, he said that I could pay when he's finished and I am satisfied with his work. He started on Tuesday and came back today (Thursday) to complete the work. He cleaned up all the waste and removed it. He also trimmed a tree in front of my house and sprayed some pesky weeds on my sidewalk and driveway. Ozzy is a pleasant fellow and I would definitely use his services again.

We contracted with US Tree Care for removal of two young mulberry trees + a young ornamental pear (all 3 located in the backyard); flush cut to ground. They also structurally pruned a large mature pecan tree on the east side of our house that was overlapping our roof to the point of great concern. In addition, they pruned a couple of bois d'arc trees in our backyard overhanging the back deck, and a large mature sycamore tree in our front yard. Lastly, they significantly pruned our large live oak tree (also in the front yard) to allow sunlight to penetrate through and easier access to walk/mow underneath. All this was done in one-half day by a crew of two working non-stop. Afterwards, they cleaned and removed the debris and followed up with an inspection to verify satisfaction. Overall, we were pleased with the results!

The guys showed up on time and did a great job. All the other companies said it couldn't be done and I needed an excavator to dig it out and remove it. Stump pros did it with the grinder and the price was very good too. Totally awesome thanks guys

First of all, please learn how to cut trees. Just because you have a truck and a grinder and a bunch of chainsaws doesn't make you a tree expert. First off, I requested a certificate of insurance and after the job was stopped due to an unfortunate accident (I will explain)I asked them for their insurance and they informed me they didn't have it. Luckily no one was hurt, but according to people that I have talked to and have seen pictures and videos of the event, I was very lucky. They came in and began by cutting one of the largest trees (they were hired to cut 5 in total). That big one was about 40 feet from our house and they cut it by first cutting a wedge in the front and them cutting behind the wedge. It fell without incident. The second was pretty much the same, but it did come closer to our house. I just thought "wow these guys know what they are doing." The third one was close to our house so they tied a rope to the top of the tree, hoping to pull it in the direction they wanted it to fall using their truck to pull it with the ropes since it was leaning toward our house. When they started cutting it, using the same wedge method and not cutting from the top and lowering pieces, I was looking on in wonder. I was amazed that they knew what they were doing. This wonderment turned to shock when I saw the tree falling in the direction of our neighbor's house. It destroyed his shed and fence. Luckily their was no one outside and that it did not drop in any other direction because it would have destroyed either house. Mind you, if it would have fallen a few degrees to one side of the other it probably would not have mattered. But their method had it falling a full 90 degrees off their intended drop and caused extensive property damage. I would not use these people to cut my grass, let alone a tree on your property. They lied about their insurance coverage (which is illegal) and they could have caused so much more damage due to their inexperience and poor workmanship. Don't use these guys.

All went great. Ed removed a tree stump and went above and beyond. He also removed an old dead fig tree (thank you) and cleaned up nicely. He then gave me a lesson on types of trees, backyard machinery, the importance of gutter cleaning and moving rain water away from the house. He took his time explaining everything. I surely plan to use him to redo a lot in my backyard in the spring. #excitedaboutmyyard

My husband and I have recently purchased a home which needed a backyard transformation. After a few estimates, Tyler, by far, had the best price and the most details on how he was going to meet our dream of having a functional and picturesque backyard for our family. Tyler and his crew are very professional, honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He is always available to answer our questions and to keep us updated on his progress. Tyler is a great guy all around, and his work speaks for itself. We are extremely happy with our progress towards our backyard transformation! We definitely recommend Tyler and his company for tree removal and excavation! Stay tuned for pictures of our final product!

I had a tree removed, stump grinned and tree replaced. Couldn't be more pleased. Work was done in about 2 1/2 hours. Crew was very professional. Area neat and clean . No debris left on property. Also had arborvitae trees trimmed as well. Good price. Took about 2 weeks to have entire project set up(interview contractor, obtain permit from township, purchase new tree, get approval from HOA, and wait for 811 to mark utilities). Would definitely use this companies services again.
