Introduction: My work stands out in the sense that I am combining 3 different fields of knowledge which allow me see the student in different lights and teach the student and not the method. The empowerment of others with confidence, self-love, self-knowledge and tools for life. The relationship between teacher and student is for me one of the most important in life, after parent and child. It influences, in a dramatic way, the person all throughout their lives. I greatly enjoyed Alexandras voice lessons and her positive attitude. Alexandra helped me determine my strengths and weakness; this enabled me to stretch the range of my voice and build breath control and body strength without interfering with my vocal personality. In fact, with Alexandras technique, I learned how to have power without straining my voice. I strongly recommend Alexandra as a voice teacher.

As her student for vocal training she has been very encouraging, patient and non-judgemental in her teaching approach with me. She also is a very talented singer and piano player and can read music extremely well. She is very supportive and committed to teaching me by sending me emails of videos of songs I can practice with and she made a CD for me to practice with throughout the week and bought a song book for me. She goes above and beyond and greatly enjoys her job. She also has a great personality and therefore is fun to work with. I am blessed to have a teacher like her.

Alexandra has been giving me singing lessons. She is not only a gifted and accomplished singer, but she is able to meet students with compassion at exactly the level they are and as issues and habits surface. She is extremely creative and generous, and more important, her information is accurate and specific. She is not deterred by nor does she frown upon questions; in fact she has shared important insights between lessons when I have contacted her. Her integrity to vocal health and her dedication to her students is exceptional. I am so grateful to be working with her!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I evaluate their voice and technique and design a program for them. I like my students to practice and dedicate themselves. I teach the classical singing technique, the Italian bel canto school mixed with my views of vocal pedagogy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always have my own voice teacher and I am looking into pursuing a Phd in Education in voice. I enroll in voice teachers workshops, read the latest literature on voice technique, subscribe the "journal of singing" and I am always looking into complementing my knowledge with other fields of study like psychology and yoga, for example. I'm am member of the National Association of teachers of singing and often do intense workshops.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Teaching is a gift that was revealed to me. I didn't pursue it, it found me.
