He was able to fix refrigerator problem great job! Washing machine was a problem but he was very honest about not charging me for not being able to repair but I gave him something for his time he spent on what he thought was the problem. He is going to find out what the cost will be it’s a bigger problem then expected. Would definitely use him in the future.

Mike was right on time and spent almost an hour and a half diagnosing the problem. Unfortunately, the cost to repair it was almost the same as a new machine and Mike was very honest with me. He even suggested good places to find a new one that might not be so expensive. I definitely recommend him.

Expert repair and customer service. I was lucky to find them on Thumbtack when our Washing Machine stopped draining. We were contacted promptly, given a fair estimate and scheduled an appointment. Moises came, diagnosed the problem right away and ordered the part right in front of my eyes. We made an appointment for a few days later when the part arrived for him to come back and install it. I'm happy to say our Washing Machine is working once again and our family has found a nice, reliable appliance repair service with exceptional customer service. We not only recommend, but we will definitely be repeat customers.

Today, the company turned on the repair of washing machines Indesit. The operator sounded the failure symptoms. The operator said that I will call the technician. Technician Mike called back to be quickly (about 30 minutes), asked whether I am at home, comfortable, if he will drive right now. Came master failure cause found immediately, spare parts in stock, he had with him, repaired on the spot. I liked very much. I recommend.

After a quick response, gentleman showed up to diagnose a problem we had with our washing machine. He replaced the pump. We paid. He left. Few hours later we had the same error message appear. He came back immediately (on a SUNDAY!), refunded us our money for the pump, and advised us it would be more cost effective to purchase a new machine vs. repairing a 12 yr. old machine. He was kind, prompt, knowledgable, and outright fair. Highly recommended.

My LG washer stopped working some weeks days ago, and I was add to take my clothes to laundry house each time I wanted to wash. Due to the type of work I do, I have to wash almost every day. Going to the laundry house daily was really stressful, so I had to find a specialist on LG washer appliance repair to help me out with mine. I contacted Repair Any customer representative, and was told a technician would be sent to my house the next day. John from Repair Any came around very early to start the repair work. The repair took him almost two hours to complete, but the long time was worth the wait. After he finished repairing it, everything was working normally. Thanks for the great work.

Last summer our Sub Zero Wine Cooler started flashing an error message and it was not keeping the right temperature. I was worried because it was a really hot and humid summer and we did not want any of our wine to get damaged by the heat. So we called up Sub Zero Repair New York, and set up an appointment for 2 day out. For New York that is pretty good. The technician showed up on time, and he seemed like a nice guy. His name was Victor. He hooked our Wine Cooler up to a machine to do some type of diagnostic. When he was done he told me that one of the fans in the wine cooler quit working, and it needed replaced. I told him to do it, and asked if he could try to get the wine cooler fixed as soon as possible, He said no problem, he would need to order a fan, but he could put a rush on it if I wanted to pay a little more. I said sure. He had the parts 2 days later, and returned to fix the unit. I was really impressed by his professionalism and how quickly he fixed our Wine Cooler. You could tell he made it a priority. Sub Zero Appliance Repair is a really great company all of their technicians are really professional and courteous I would recommend this company to anyone in need of appliance repair in the Houston area.

I have had the same Kenmore Washing machine for some time now and I have had to make a few repairs here and there. The latest was the washing machine would not drain. So once again I called up New York Appliance Repair and told them to set me up an appointment with Victor as soon as he had an opening. Victor had been fixing our appliances for several years now, and we have developed a very good relationship with him. He gets along well with my husband and he is very honest and knowledgeable. Victor came out over the weekend and he took a look at the unit. It did not take him long to discover the Drain hose had become clogged, and was in need of repair. So I had him put in a new hose just to be safe. I was happy to hear that he brought one with him because he figured that was what the problem was. He fixed our washer, and cleaned it all up gave it a full overhaul, and it is back up and running like new. That is what I love about New York Appliance Repair and Victor they are an honest company that does not try to gouge you, and they put customer satisfaction first. They are a great company you should try them.

                  Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

                  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
                  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
                  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

                  How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.
