What did Jeff Zorabedian help you with? Where was the job? How long did it take?
Jeff Zorabedian has donated his exceptional photographic skills documenting the work of Providence House and the lives of the women and children served in our residences. This completely voluntary effort has involved the generous investment of his time and effort on both weekdays and weekends. He has spent this time visiting our residences in Brooklyn and Queens; meeting and speaking with our clients and staff at those locations; taking many photographs in shoots lasting several hours; and devoting significant time and painstaking attention to editing photos.

What impressed you about the service? Did Jeff Zorabedian go above and beyond? Was Jeff Zorabedian on time? How was the quality of the work?
In addition to his gift for capturing striking images, Jeff makes subjects feel very much at ease. Many of the women we serve experienced significant trauma in their pasts, whether from domestic abuse, street violence, or family breakup. As a result, many have acquired a default posture of mistrust or defensiveness. By treating the residents with respect, patience, and openness, Jeff quickly establishes rapport and helps our residents and their children feel comfortable. In this way, Jeff has been able to elicit moving stories from the women and capture photos that affirm them in their accomplishments, uphold their dignity, and celebrate their strong bonds with their children.
The result of his work has been a quickly growing catalog of emotive, engaging, and beautiful images around which Providence House can build its print, web, and social media communications efforts. Jeffs volunteer work is truly helping us to convey the story of Providence House and the families we serve.

A year and a half has gone by since my wedding day, and still to this day I cannot think of a better photographer for us to have gone with than Jeff. So many photographer friends came to me offering us their services, and though appreciated I knew my wife and I had to go with the one who had been doing this the longest. My wife and I truly had the right feeling about his eye for all the right moments, both intimate and zany. Jeff's package rates were reasonable, as were his personal deadlines; he was very prompt about getting the photos back to us in a timely fashion. He also happens to be a really nice guy. If you are on the fence about who you should hire for your next event, be sure to have Jeff on your shortlist for consideration. He may just win you over in the end.

Jeff is our photographer of choice for our annual benefit, and has photographed many of our classes, public talks and panel discussions. He's got a great eye for faces, always captured in action, engaged and uninhibited. He is subtle and compassionate--gets the beauty and spirit in each person.

Jeff recently photographed my 2 kids birthday parties. He was there for about 3 hours between set up and the job itself, and he did an amazing job. He is great with kids and adults alike, he took beautiful and thoughtful photos of our family and friends, and he was a pleasure to work with. We have recommended him to friends, and plan to keep calling him whenever we have a special event.

Jeff did a great photo shoot in Central Park for our family. He was creative with his shots (without making us do anything weird or awkward), funny, calm, and patient. We had never done something like this and he made it super fun. And the pictures are beautiful! Highly, highly recommend!
