I spent months looking for the right person to edit my novel and I honestly don't think anyone could have done it better than Margaret Diehl. Not only did she do an outstanding edit, she added value while still honoring my voice and offered extremely helpful criticism. Margaret will be my first call when my next novel is complete.Oct 21, 2018Verified
It is hard to capture the extent of my appreciation for the editing services Margaret Diehl provided. She went far and beyond engaging with both my book and with me, teaching me more about writing than I had ever imagined and holding my feet to the creative fire of making my book a much better work than I could have done on my own. Her ear for writing, the arc of the story, placement of events, and the need for ever further character development went far beyond any remuneration I provided. Margaret also had the eerie ability to detect the presence of an absence, challenging me to fill in the blanks, blanks I soon realized were there in unconscious defense against emotional material from which I was shying away. Margaret’s maintaining deadlines, prompt responses, and dry wit all added to maintaining the challenge and momentum of writing, making it an ever more enjoyable and fulfilling experience. I recommend Margaret Diehl not only without reservation, but wholeheartedly. No need to look further. Hire her now.Jan 2, 2017Verified

Thanks! I'm enjoying looking at the revisions you made.
Margaret did a wonderful job of proofreading my manuscript. She was very thorough and here recommendations were spot on! My manuscript was non-fiction. She took the time to check sources for some industry specific phrases. Top notch!Jun 24, 2018VerifiedMargaret D.'s reply
Thanks, Jeff! I love jobs where I learn something I would never have pursued on my own.
Margaret did a sample edit for me while I was trying to decide which professional to use for editing my memoir. Her style was the best fit with mine, and I engaged her as my editor. She was an excellent editor and caught many small errors and made some suggestions for improving the overall text. Would definitely use her services again!May 30, 2018VerifiedMargaret D.'s reply
