Introduction: I attended Stanford University and Carnegie Mellon University with concentrations in English and theater. I've spent the last ten years as a stay-at-home mom to my three children, working part time writing and editing proposals for a Manhattan-based consulting firm, and tutoring students from elementary school through college in writing and editing (journalistic, expository and creative). I have helped numerous applicants with their college admission essays. I've long had a facility with language and enjoy helping others hone and improve their writing skills. Writing is inspiration and perspiration -- technique can be taught and acquired to great effect.

I spent a couple of days in New York and wanted to improve some problematic issues of my English, e.g. idiomatics and syntax. We ended up working on my ws,vs, ds, and gs. Leah is an excellently trained English coach with a very fine ear for pronunciation thanks to her experience in theater. It was not only very helpful to study with her but also lots of fun. I can hence highly recommend her for any support with English studies.

I am a vocalist and I need to work meticulously on sounds to make sure that my accent doesn't get in the way. I appreciate a lot that Leah studied what my needs were before starting to work together. She didn't waste time and got right into it.
She is very patient and encouraging. She is also flexible and it's very pleasant working with her.
I will definetly keep working with Leah as I feel she's really making a difference in my approach to English.
