Great experience! It was my first time getting Accupuncture and I felt much clarity afterwards and she connected so many holistic healing methods, for example introducing me to new herbs and ways of balancing out my life and thinking process.

Dr. Joyce is a kind, thoughtful and caring person. I sought her out after chronic stomach pain and mental health issues I was struggling with such as anxiety and depression. Our first session started with an intake where she asked a series of questions to understand my life history, what I was seeking help with, and how acupuncture could help. I was skeptical at first because I've always relied on western medicine and pills to cure things I struggled with. Immediately after my first session I spent the day feeling incredibly relaxed and at peace. The feelings lasted for about 2-3 days after each session. Initially I signed up for 5 sessions and after that I continued to see her because of the mental health benefits. The chronic stomach pain turned out to be a stone in my bile duct that was left over from a gallbladder surgery. Although acupuncture could not directly help out with the physical pain, it helped me indirectly by providing mental health benefits such as peacefulness, meditation, and tranquility. These health benefits helped me in my mental and emotional battle against the physical stomach pain while I sought doctors for the procedure to remove the stone. Dr. Joyce's techniques, compassion and skills are also helping me overcome the depression I had from the chronic stomach pain. I am learning new techniques to manage my anxiety attacks as well. Her sessions have also opened my mind to other forms of self-care such as yoga, exercise and meditation. These are things that I would have never considered until spending time with Dr. Joyce. I am beyond grateful for the care I have received under Dr. Joyce which has put me on a journey of healing and self-care. I highly recommend Dr Joyce!

My wife was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease at an early age and various other illnesses later; as a result, she suffers daily with constant pain. She had been looking for an alternative to the pain medication her doctors were prescribing her and was referred to Dr. Lilly's practice by a friend/ co-worker. My wife is always eager to try anything that won't result in side-effects or liver failure in the future. Her first appointment with Dr. Lilly was about four weeks ago. The results were so effective in curtailing her pain that she has seen Dr. Lilly twice a week, every week since then. I suffer from bouts of insomnia, pain in my shoulders, and infrequent chest pain--to name just a few. I have the luxury of being a skeptic, so when my wife told me about Dr. Lilly's acupuncture treatment, my initial reaction was doubt. But, she implored me to give it a try. Yesterday was my first appointment, and what an experience it was... Dr. Lilly's office is clean, warm, pleasant, and the staff is friendly. She greeted me as if I were an old friend coming to visit. Her demeanor is jubilant and inviting. She has the sweetest disposition and talked me through my fear of needles--yes, a grown man like me is very afraid of needles; it is all about the pinch. I felt like she cared about the comments I made about myself, how I felt, and what brought me to her practice. We spoke about spirituality and literature and about meditation and calming the self. Now, I have to reiterate that I am a hard skeptic and went in doubting anything would resolve my physical ailments, however superficial they may be. I can now admit that I was wrong and my skepticism unwarranted. After Dr. Lilly's acupuncture treatment, I felt whole again, rested, and alleviated. My pain was gone and my body felt balanced, a thing I have not felt in a very long time. So, to conclude--I can go on and on about how great Dr. Lilly is (she really is!), but you will have to try it for yourself; skeptics like me live and thrive on empiricism and throw hearsay out the window--I implore you, make an appointment; go and see Dr. Lilly. You will not regret it...

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I love continuing education seminars. These seminars give me a chance to fill the blanks on what formal education has omitted. I have a special interest in the Mind-Body-Spirit connection. The body has an innate intelligence that has the ability to heal itself once we get out of its way.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Stress relief, chronic headaches, muscle pains, back pains, neck pain, shoulder pain, painful periods, depression, anxieties, substance addictions, those looking to stop smoking, etc.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I work well with patients who are going through the process of trying to get pregnant. I understand that it can be a frustrating time. Doing regular acupuncture sessions helps prepare the body for fertilization by calming the nervous system. Calming the nervous system is key to the body feeling “safe & secure” in order to procreate. If the body is stressed, then it’s in “fight or flight” mode. Chances for fertility are significantly reduced as a result.
