Introduction: PLEASE NOTE I AM IN LONG ISLAND NY. Please only request availability if you are in the surrounding Long Island, NY area OR are looking for online lessons. Thanks! I teach sewing lessons for kids ages 4 and up! (I also teach adults!) I tailor each lesson to the child's strengths, goals, and interests. I create age appropriate lessons with the child's interests in mind! We start off with hand sewing and move to machine sewing for beginners (based on age and parent/ guardian's comfort level with the machine.) Any students who have previous experience will have lessons prepped based on their current skill level. We have a LOT of fun, and my student's get to walk away with a fun new toy, accessory, piece of clothing, or work of art! I teach lessons online or in person (in the NYC/Long island area.) Online lessons: I currently work remotely teaching sewing lessons, and have grown a functional process to teaching sewing online. I work with the family to ensure that the student had the materials they need, and we have pieces prepped before class starts when needed, based on the student's skill level, time allowance, or need. Sewing lessons ARE possible remotely! If you student does not have a sewing machine have no to fear! Hand sewing can still create amazing projects and pieces of clothing. We can do this! I received my Fashion Design degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2015.
