Loved loved loved Tonia Maier & her private dog training lessons. She is a very caring, dedicated & professional dog trainer & lover of all animals. Her understanding of dogs & her training techniques are superb. She gives you all the necessary training tools and skills needed for success, in being able to work with your dog on a daily bases, in redirecting any bad behaviors and learning new lifetime skills needed for your dog/s to come, stay, sit & leave it. She also teaches you important socialization tools needed in training your dog. She gives you a copy of written weekly follow-up training materials to keep on hand for continued training that has to be done by the dog owner on a consistent day to day bases for complete success. She has taught me that good dog behaviors are the sole responsibility of the owner. A dog is only as good as the owner trains it & allows it to be. Dogs are, and always will be our very best friends! I love them all. Thank you Tonia for your help, skills and patience. You are very talented, loving, kind and simply the BEST dog training professional I have met. Incredibly grateful for Tonia and the work she has done with our two crazy stubborn dogs! at 3 of the 4 weeks working with her it's already like night and day they have completely responded to the structure and exercises she prescribed. Tonia's relentless positivity and cool, calm demeanor reassure us that we could have the "good dogs" we dream of owning! Her service is above and beyond expectations - from her initial consultation to the customized classes where she tackled our laundry list of behavioral woes. We've taken multiple group classes and found at-home training to be uniquely beneficial. No one cares about your pups like Duty for Dogs! I would absolutely recommend to anyone with K9 troubles big or small!

Tonia is clear and focused on our puppy's needs at all times. She is an excellent trainer, teacher, and role model for my husband and I. We are learning great strategies that will make our years with Mitzi happy and safe! Tonia puts up with my fears with grace and re-trains me! She CAN teach this old dog new tricks as well as teach our new dog new tricks!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices for classes would be ($90.00 for a group 1 hour, 4 week,1 day a week session), (private 1 hour,1 day a week, 4 week session $129.00 and up..depends on issues), (and a single 1 hour private session to go over 3 topics of choice is $75.00).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First to set up a schedule of training sessions. (Owner must show prof of vaccines at time of first class) Courses are anywhere from a one time private session to 4 week session classes one time a week . All classes are one hour intervals. Each week there is different training skills introduced and there is homework. The following week we go over homework and learn new skills.
