I enlisted the help of Arbor Tutors to help me with test prep for grad school. Oh man! I am SUPER happy I did that. The tutoring manager walked me through the whole process and set me up with TWO tutors. They also said I could change tutors at any time, but I didn't need to. I was accepted into all of my top choices (Columbia, Penn, Cornell and Duke). I used the application services also (they reviewed my essays).

I started by going to a gmat prep course. I came to realize the course was not meant for people aiming for a score between 700-800 and that the sessions are meant to help the lowest common denominator in the class. When I had four weeks left before my exam date, I went on thumbtack and found Dan. Dan helped me go from 680 to 740 on my practice exams, and I ended up getting a 740 on the actual gmat. We worked on quant only, and Dan taught me a lot of tricks that made problems much simpler and saved time. Before Dan, I got a 42 on quant, and I got a 47 on the actual exam.

Terrific Tutor! Sasha is very patient and always willing to explain things in multiple times, using many different examples. My understanding of college level Physics improved within a few sessions. I have been with Sasha for over a year now at the collegiate level, and I would not look for another tutor.

I started working with Kamil late in my college process. Many tutors doubted that I had enough time to prep and were only willing to work with me as a sort of "second hand client". With only two months left before my last possibly act during my senior year, Kamil and I worked day and night to achieve my goal score. Often meeting before and running after midnight only to see each other at six the next day, Kamil and I turned my test scores around to help me get into Cornell University. Kamil is kind, conscientious and committed. For him, standardized testing tutoring is a calling. He is his own brand.

I first contacted Charles after sitting for my GMAT exam and being disappointed with my score. I thought I could do much better and after reading reviews of his tutoring work, I decided he would be best to help me improve my score. I was hoping Charles could show me where I was struggling because I felt I had a good handle on the material before each exam before. I purchased multiple GMAT tools from all the top courses, but apparently, I kept missing something. During my first session with Charles, he immediately knew how to solve each question efficiently, showing me multiple ways to arrive at the same answer. He also taught me mental math skills that saved me precious time in the difficult quant section. Charles was sincere in letting me know the amount of time and effort needed to score above 700. He planned out our sessions accordingly, making sure I mastered each topic before moving on. I appreciated how Charles set up our classes with short drill sets to test the concepts he taught me and if I continued to struggle with them, we would review until my understanding was concrete. After working with Charles three times a week for two months, I saw a 150 point increase in my official GMAT score. I would recommend Charles to anyone who plans on taking the GMAT or any other standardized exam.

When I first came to The Harvard Review, I was in the process taking the LSAT for the third time. You are only allowed to take it a total of three times in a span of a few years, and this was my last shot. The first time I took it I got a 159, with no prep. Then I went to a tutor who was recommended to me by several people. I took the test after working with him and got a 158. I was very upset that my score actually went down, but knew I needed to give it one more shot. This time I met with Dr. Fikar. He felt confident that he would be able to help me increase my score. He suggested we work for several weeks of intense tutoring, which is what I agreed to do. Going into the test I was scoring in the mid 160's. I was shocked when I received a 171 on my final attempt. This was by far beyond anything we thought was possible for me. I know that this is in large part due to Dr. Fikar's masterful tutoring and his ability to tap into the student's learning styles, and bring out the very best in them.

I am in the military, I work full time, and I travel a ton. I started using Target Test Prep after I had already gone through a popular in person 6-week course with another company and could not get above a 610 on the GMAT. A friend urged me to try Target Test Prep. Initially I was reluctant because I am not a big fan of computer based learning. Target Test Prep quickly changed my perspective on what can be gained through a computer based medium, and especially what can be accomplished online with the incredible tutor Target Test Prep has. I started Target Test Prep (TTP) on September 30th 2016 and started working with Jeff (the Tutor from TTP) a few weeks after that. By November 12th 2016 I scored a 650. This is when I started to get serious with TTP. Based on that improvement, Jeff encouraged me to have faith in the platform, follow the curriculum, and work with him. I took his advice and alongside the curriculum, I met with Jeff (on average) once a week until the end of December and scored a 710 on December 29th 2016. I know that if I continued to work with Jeff and use TTP, my score would likely go even higher, but a 710 was good enough for me and met the balance I needed between a good score and time invested. I am very grateful to Jeff and Scott for their excellent curriculum, and I am especially thankful to Jeff for the advising, encouragement, and incredible insight he provided me, and for the excellent instruction on how to solve GMAT problems efficiently and consistently. I would recommend TTP to friends, as I have already. A good friend of mine just bought TTP based on my recommendation and has started working with Jeff. A couple of our mutual friends are considering doing the same after seeing the success I had, as well as the momentum my friend is gaining already. If you are stuck on the GMAT or don't know where to start, this is the program for you! Thank you TTP for helping me put a swift end to this painful GMAT process!

Apex Test Prep was well worth the investment for my GMAT studies. Mike helped me raise my score from 630 to 700 in 6 weeks. I had been trying to breakthrough on the quant section for two years with no success. Mike's deep understanding of how the test is constructed helped me to see it in a way that allowed me to perform significantly better on the test. He is a GMAT wizard, I would highly recommend!

I first knew I needed help with the Math section of the GMAT after I took a practice test from the GMAT website. My verbal was reasonably high but my Math was very low. I found Nick and he immediately realized I needed to start from the beginning. It had been almost 8 years since I took a math class and I needed help with even the most basic math. Nick gave me a detailed study plan and included free online videos that explained each topic in more detail. This allowed me to learn at my own pace and skip topics I was already comfortable with. This also greatly reduced the cost of my GMAT prep since I didn't have to have a tutor go through each and every topic with me. I met with nick once or twice a week on skype and he answered any questions I had and then we worked through the official GMAT questions that related to what I studied that week. Nick was great to work with and flexible on when we met. My travel schedule was very unpredictable and Nick worked with me to meet when I was available. Overall, I took the GMATs twice and got a 720 on the 2nd attempt. I will be attending Wharton in the fall and I'm so thankful to Nick for his help!!

I contacted Robert after being impressed by his tutoring philosophy. Having only a few months of being tutored by him, the end result was getting to the 98th percentile from the 93 percentile for me. Robert is one of the most patient tutors I have ever had (I have received tutoring since 8th grade), and he explains everything clearly. Follow his logic and do not be afraid to ask any questions about anything. He is an expert on the whole organization of test prep, and he will provide you with the most useful websites for additional test prep. In addition, he is knowledgeable about other subjects as well, which is why I continue to seek his help with my issues in college such as time management and study skills. While working with Robert on the ACT we spoke about other areas of my education as well as my college plans. I came to realize that Robert took a sincere interest in my overall well-being, and consistently made suggestions that invaluable to me on many fronts. Within a few weeks I began to call upon him to help me with my educational plan and college applications. Together, we developed strategies to strengthen my application and Robert helped me to develop my college essays. We went through the trials and tribulations of the college application process, and every step of the way Robert was there to help guide me. Even today, as a freshman at an Ivy League university Robert was there to help me with course selection in addition to many of the challenges an incoming student faces on a college campus. One thing that struck me the most is his ability to understand people, especially how one person responds to different situations. This is important because he is able to understand what is exactly preventing someone from achieving the best of their ability. For example, there was a specific component that I was struggling with my coursework, and he helped me overcome that problem after identifying a specific study limitation that I did not know I had. Over time, he has become a mentor for me. Truly you will be very lucky to have Robert as a tutor because he goes above and beyond for you, and young adults need someone to guide them through difficult times.

Charlie recently tutored/taught me GMAT style math to apply to the case portion of management consulting interviews. It had been years since I had performed this type of math because I took the GRE to get into b-school. Charlie is an exceptional teacher who exhibits clear mastery of all math concepts and the patience and teaching style necessary to relay that knowledge. I am happy to report that after 2 tutoring sessions with Charlie I was able to perform case prep at a much higher level and ultimately landed an internship with a prestigious consulting firm this summer. 10/10 would absolutely use Charlie again for a range of math topics.

Working with Jeff was an incredible experience for two reasons. First, we'd worked with another tutor prior to Jeff, and the difference was plain as day. Jeff was prepared, kept track of test scores and was able to show week by week the progress being made. Aside from that, he didn't only do problems in the SAT book, but he made a list of everything my daughter needed to work on, and they worked on different worksheets together so that she could brush up on those skills. My daughter absolutely loved working with Jeff, and was ecstatic when she saw that her score had raised from an 1860 to a 2150 after working with him. Thank you so much Jeff and best of luck and success!
