I trained with Katie so that I could learn some new yoga moves and be a little more flexible. What I ended up with was a whole new appreciation for yoga, ballet and even fitness in general. Katie was sweet and understanding the two months we were training together. I'm not a very flexible guy and I wanted to get into yoga since it's a lot better than simple stretching. Two months later, I learned a lot more about yoga then I have ever could going to a yoga studio and I had a blast every single session we had. If you're looking for someone who's as proffesional and passionate with her crafts as she is sweet and understanding. Look no further. 😊
I had anterior and posterior cervical surgery two years ago and unfortunately I continued to have spasticity and balance issues.I was going to Physical Therapy regularly and not making a lot of progress. Nadia was recommended to me and she started to work with me twice a week doing yoga and exercising in the pool.I am gaining strength in my legs and my balance has improved.Nadia is so positive and encouraging and I am so happy that she is working with me.

I have done private yoga sessions with Erica Straub, and love them. I've always been active and an athlete (and recently done a lot of dance). I find it hard to find teachers that impress me for any activity -- not intentional, but I am a tough critic. That said, Erica is amazing. My yoga sessions with her were some of my favorites ever. I loved her focus on the hips (even more so than other yoga classes), the athleticism required throughout, and her approach. (Not to mention, good music selection too!). She started with poses that weren't traditional lead-ins for a yoga session, and it helped open my body up literally and figuratively. Each time I did a session with her, I felt 100% better than when I started and had lasting benefits on my flexible, strength and state of mind. I highly recommend her!
I cant say enough positive things about Judy! I trained with her for many months before my wedding and could not have asked for a sweeter, knowledgable, encouraging and patient trainer. She met me at my fitness level, and knew how to build more challenging workouts through the course of our time together. I was very happy with the results of our twice weekly sessions and felt stronger, trimmer and more confident for my wedding. Just the greatest!
Beautiful serene studio and expert yoga instruction. One on one is only way to go and Kelly knows how to develop an individual pace and progression based on fitness level. My strength and flexibility increased dramatically.
Nicky was extremely attentive and intuitive when working with me and gauging the type of experience that would benefit me most. My level of yoga experience was that of a novice, yet she knew I could push harder and helped me to escape my comfort zone relatively seemlessly. I had the pleasure of taking a private yoga lesson with Jennifer. She's an amazing teacher. I was very impressed by her experience and knowledge about yoga. She made me feel very comfortable. At the end of the session I felt very relaxed. She taught me many poses to help with my back pain. I will be taking more sessions with her.

I recently started a class at work in yoga. Being new to this form of exercise and stretching, I sought out one-on-one lessons with an instructor who could bring quality and control to my movements. This instructor is Alison. Being pre-diabetic, circulation, flexibility, and strength are important to my overall health and ability to do those things that I enjoy doing. Alison brings you into a comfortable and low pressure space where she customizes each lesson to how you're feeling at that moment. Individualized attention has honed my skills and improved my overall peace and composure. I heartily recommend seeing her for her individual attention and care.

Where do I even begin to share how dear Ellie Aaron is. I happened upon a special yoga studio called Savasanna Station where Ellie was a teacher. The studio was in the east village- it has sadly since closed. Students traveled from the West Village, Brooklyn, Upper East Side and Upper West Side to take Ellie's classes. You get what I"m trying to say right? Ellie's classes were worth the travel time! Her warmth, humor, knowledge, care, respect, and love of yoga was infectious. So much so that I took a teacher training program with Ellie. I couldn't get enough of her wisdom, brilliance, and her humbleness. Going to Ellie's classes you would gain deeper understanding of poses, dharma, and most importantly a sense of community in her classes. Plus Ellie sings! Her voice is magical! Sometimes in the final resting pose of Savasanna Ellie would sing in sanskrit. It was like a lullaby for adults- you felt nourished, calm, and very grateful!
Brittany made me a yoga fan. You feel great physically and spiritually in class. She monitors everyone's moves so they do their poses and breathing correctly and if she does need to correct you she does it so you are not embarrassed. I totally recommend Brittany she will work the class accomodating each person to their comfortable level. I give her 5 out of 5 stars!!!!
Teaching requires an open dialog, and good instruction. Without question, Taylor embodies these virtues. Each class is rooted in her foundation of core yogic knowledge, diverse style (lacking any trace of ego), and unconditional inclusivity. It is in Taylor's cultivated, genuine, and beautiful ability to listen, that brings students to deeper self-discovery. Not once in her class does she focus on the external (all ages, skill levels, and physical abilities are welcomed). Taylor awakens each student to flow into their own practice of yoga -- authenticity and with grace.
Danny is incredibly knowledgable about the physical postures as well as philosophy of yoga. He created a safe space for me to practice, release, be myself, and breathe.
Sarah is amazing! I've had many Yoga Instructors since hurting my back and she is the best I've worked with. She goes above and beyond for me and I really appreciate it. She knows a lot about yoga and strength training and is always willing to go into details on how and why we are doing a particular exercise. She's also a PT Aide among being a Yoga Instructor and I think the combo of the two works a lot in her and my favor. My body has never felt so good and I've never felt so healthy!!
Aari is an excellent yoga instructor! Aari introduced me to yoga years ago in a small private group setting...we were all new to yoga, and she was very articulate in explaining both the physical aspects of yoga (poses) as well as the body/mind connection and benefits. With her good humor, patience and gentle hands-on corrections, we became hooked on the "Aari Method" of yoga. I cannot thank her enough for opening my eyes to what has become such an important part of my life. I highly recommend Aari if you are looking for a yoga instructor with heart, soul and compassion!
Leigh has gone above and beyond to help me on my terms and with my goals since we started working together in March. She has coordinated with my physical therapist to make sure everything we do is best for my body. I have never gone through a yoga class feeling this great. I used to think pain was gain, but Leigh is teaching me better habits. I am already feeling stronger in these few months, and achieving new feats I hadn't imagined for myself. I learn something new from Leigh every time we meet. Her positive attitude makes me feel like I will continue to improve and that all my wishes for better strength, flexibility, breath capacity, and pain control are within reach.
I am a yoga beginner and wanted to try a more personalized experience. I was worried that I would not be able to do a lot of the poses but Mackenzie worked at my pace and found poses that worked best for me and my level. She is awesome and I would highly recommend!
Kelly is amazing! On a whim I decided to try out yoga for my first time but wanted to go somewhere that I would feel comfortable and I am so happy I found Kelly. She is an amazing teacher who keeps the classes fun and fresh. She switches up each class and I always leave feeling so refreshed and relaxed. I would highly recommend!
