The friendly and personal environment, combined with the advanced expertise of Brian Tuning guarantee an exemplary lesson experience. Five stars, because I can't give six.
I am a beginner beginner piano player who approached the idea of lessons because of my passion for songwriting. Austin's Studio has been wonderful, teaching me chords, scales, and how to understand sounds so I can start messing around and making songs even after the first lesson. I would describe our lessons as "modified jam sessions" where we talk theory and progressions. He also has been sososo kind as to lend me an electric piano while I look for an affordable piano to purchase. I would describe Austin's style of teaching as approachable, knowledgable & adaptable.
I had been playing guitar on my own for about 15 yrs. At my first lesson Joe asked me to play something, saw where I was in my ability and tailors my lessons to my skill level. He has Great attention to detail. Joe not only corrected my strumming technique immediately but explained why and demonstrated how the correct way is more effective. Joe also plays in 2 local bands which allows his students the ability to go see him peform. Great Teacher!!!!
Both my boys took lessons from Luke over the summer. He was always ready for the lessons on time and they practiced to end of each lesson. Luke is professional and understands how to work with younger students. He also knows how to encourage their progress. Luke's a great instructor and his rate is reasonable. I highly recommend Luke to teach music lessons to you or your kids!

I am a 17-year-plus guitarist with experience in playing in several popular bands in the CNY area. I have a passion for blues, rock, and finger style, as well as some experience with jazz. I have taught several students in the past and provide hands-on learning as opposed to theoretical training. My focus is on making learning fun for the student and will tailor lessons to whatever approach on the guitar the student wishes to take. I am not classically trained and will not be teaching theory, but instead will teach the student how to play songs, chords, basic lead guitar fundamentals, understanding tabs and various finger-style techniques. My pricing is reasonable, and I will work with individual students based on travel and time restrictions.
