I purchased a house in the 5 towns area and it needed to be renovated. Two bathrooms and a kitchen. Mr. Austine took the time to helped my wife and I pick out the materials we wanted to use and he was very patient with us because we have never done this before. Other contractors we received estimates from wanted to charge me extra for taking time to help us with this first step. Once we had the plan to move forward Nick had the old Bathrooms and kitchen removed within 1 day. within a couple of days the plumbers and electrician came in and had there stuff done within 2 days. Nick advised us we had to wait for the inspection to happen before he could close up the walls. the inspector came out within a few days and gave Nick the ok to finish the job. Nick showed up a day later closed up the walls and over the next 7 days installed all new cabinets and did custom tile in both bathrooms. it came out amazing. Nick was everything we wanted with our contractor and we recommended him to our neighbor who is currently using him for finishing a basement. Honest, trust worthy, patient and very giving with his time. I would recommend Nick to anyone who is looking to renovate their house.

I had my bathroom remodeled. We had some water damage issues, so I knew once we opened the walls there was no predicating what we were going to need. Nick, gave me a best case to worse case scenario. It turned out that the entire bathroom needed to be guttered, but in the end the job came out magnificent. With all the additional problems that you really can't predict, the job was still completed in a timely manner. Nick is very hard worker, trustworthy and most importantly, reliable.

I used cosmos contracting for a full kitchen renovation and it come out so nice . The crew was always on time and even worked weekend to get the job done in time for the holidays . It was a good experience.

I would definitely recommend Cosmo’s Contracting, not only for the professional work, more importantly, was his honesty and attention to the little details. Being a single, female homeowner, having never used a professional contractor before, I didn’t feel like he was trying to pull to wool over my eyes. He suggested things, I would never had thought of and the overall project/work went without a glitch.

When the snowstorm passed we had a lot of windy freezing cold weather. Two days after the storm.my water pipe burst downstairs. The basement flooded near our boiler so we had to turn it off. We were without heat for many days. I spent countless hours calling for a plumber for assistance. They all seem to be overwhelmed with a lot of projects because of the storm. I searched the web constantly then finally I found THUMBTACK. Nick answered my prayers. he was very efficient he explained things to me and he got the job done quickly. My grandkids and I are so greatful to him. I no longer have to look for a plumber I found Nick and I will be calling him for all my plumbing needs. Thank You Nick!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We try and price jobs based on the old adage, " you get what you pay for" anybody can give a cheaper price, that's easy and it looks attractive to a lot of people, but especially in this business you never stop paying for a bargain. We have over 25 years of experience, we can trouble shoot problems, resolve issues so they dont repeat on you the minute we get paid. There are so many different prices associated with materials alone. What price would you pay to always have your contractor answer his phone when you have an issue or a concern, or if you're out shopping and your standing there with a salesman and you need to know the answer to something right there on the spot? We always answer the phone. Peace of mind is under priced
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We try and explain and detail the project so we are all on the same page, we dont come with a lot of hidden surprises, we are upfront and let you know what you can expect from beginning to end. We understand what you are going through, we are customers too.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Thomas Edison High School ( vocational trade school), where I majored in general contracting. I worked for a plumber and electrician, I was also in the construction Union from 1988 until 1998 and have over 25 years experience behind me.
