- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge 175 for my first hr and 75 for each additional hr . It comes down to 125 per hr . If it is only one hr I must cover total costs. Some folks do 2 hour minimums . I find it works better like this. The facepainting take 5 minutes per child so always figure the amount of time you will need on that .
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a make-up artist and an entertainer in NYC on B'way and in Cabaret , I branched out into special events , and was introduced to a world of fantasy characters. I was asked to do a facepainting job because a friend was in a bind and found loved it so went to work on my designs and Voila !
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common are Birthday parties for the 1-7 set. I do any type of event though. Corporate parties ,Picnics ,weddings , Bar and Bat Mitvahs.....
