Danielle's team made our birthday dinner a huge success. It was super easy to build a menu with her, that was very accommodating of our guest's food restrictions. Kevin worked on an excellent tequila pairing with great cocktails and many new tequilas that paired really well with the dishes made by chef Camila. Every single course, dessert included, was a delight. The food was top notch, satisfying and enough to really enjoy every single bite and not feel like it was just a sampling bite. All guests sent me message the next day complimenting the amazing dinner we had. Lauren was so attentive and kept the night running as smooth as it could be. I'll definitely have them over again for a future dinner. Highly recommend!

Chef Danielle was amazing from being to end. How she flows in the kitchen at the same time as she talks to you we felt so comfortable like family. We loved the experience so much that we can’t wait to have her come over again! I would recommend chef Danielle to my family anytime. The food was way better then a restaurant and having to do nothing and watch them cook and serve me and my wife was incredible. I can keep going on and on about our experience but then you wouldn’t be surprised for yourself. If your going to pick a chef she is definitely the right choice for all kinds of food and desserts.

I booked The Sofo Spoon to host a private dinner for my husbands birthday. It was our first time hiring a private chef to cook for us and Chef Danielle was AMAZING! Danielle was always so responsive during the process of planning and she was very punctual with time and showed up early as needed to set up and prepare. The quality of the food was amazing and every course was cooked to perfection. Towards the end of the night, Danielle cleared the dining table setup, cleaned the kitchen, scrubbed down my stove and neatly placed all the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Overall, we had a great experience and we’ll be definitely booking The Sofo Spoon for any future events!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The Sofo Spoon combines a luxury experience while maintaining a down-to-earth attitude. We include many extras in each booking like custom printed menus and seasonal table decor. There are fees associated with our service such as a 15% administrative fee as well as staffing fees to ensure a perfect event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step is to set up a phone call or email thread with the client. This allows me to get to know them a bit and take notes on their expectations. From there, we plan the event and menu. All information is written up on a contract and signed off on. I always welcome clients to ask as many questions they need to! I am here to ensure your event is seamless.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with distinction from The French Culinary Institute in NYC. I worked in high end catering then found that I loved event based work while running a culinary program for a well known retail brand.
