Matt & Jen are an adorable professional couple with remarkable talent. I hired them for my mother’s 80th birthday party. Those who attended ranged in age from teens to 80 somethings. I gave them mom’s favorite songs and asked them to mix it up as well. They were absolutely wonderful! The teens to the 80 somethings were all singing along and dancing together. Matt and Jen’s repertoire appealed to all. I couldn’t have selected better entertainment. They made my mom’s birthday celebration a special occasion she will never forget. Our guests didn’t want to leave and didn’t want the party to end! As far as talent goes, Matt is a fantastic musician and Jen’s voice is simply amazing. They both went the extra mile to make sure fun was had by all and paid special attention to my mom as well. You will not be disappointed with them – you will be delighted!Jul 4, 2017

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We take the time to get to know our customers so we can create the perfect mood for your occasion. We want to know about you, your favorite songs and artists, and the event you want to host. Though we have an extensive repertoire, learning special requests is extra fun for us, and we're always happy to add new material to our sets!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?About Matt: Matthew is a piano player of nearly twenty years, a guitar player of sixteen, and a singer-songwriter since birth. Amidst a renaissance of home recording softwares, his teenage love of late-period Beatles led him to start recording local bands from his hometown of Lincoln, RI in his basement. Between freelance jobs as a podcast producer and development consultant, he currently leads a five-to-ten piece band (depending on if the horn section can make it) in performing covers and original compositions from his two albums, 2014's There's No Place Like Nowhere and the 2015-released mixtape Jennifer's Appendix, Volume 1: To the Person I'll Always Be, across the New York and New England area. About Jen: Jennifer began singing at the age of two when she was struck with inspiration by Sonny and Cher's "I've Got You Babe" on cassette tape in her mother's car. Some years later, she began training classically as a coloratura and lyric soprano but never lost touch with the jazz and theater music she loves. Whether you're looking for Mozart's Ave Maria, some timeless Ellington, or the latest Taylor Swift, Jen has you covered! Jen daylights in animated film production at Blue Sky Studios. She also plays bassoon, trombone, flute, and recorder (but that's more of an interesting fun-fact than anything you should hire her to play in front of people).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?We typically spend our Friday nights at home practicing standards and coming up with swing versions of contemporary hits, and developing our business was a natural progression!
