FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally, i charge $350 for in-house visits up to 4 hours (because with travel time, that essentially finishes my day) which includes all materials, which can be substantial. I also charge $500 for a full day if required. If the customer would prefer the project done in my shop, I charge $300 for pick up/delivery.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always ask for a photo, preparing a piece with lots of details takes far more time than a simple piece of the same size. If I had to visit each customer to give a price, my costs would increase drastically so to keep costs down, I try to provide the best possible price based on the photos and information I receive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked directly with a craftsman that worked for the antique shops down on 13th street reproducing antique finishes and often complete antique reproductions. I worked with him for 5 years and it was a great opportunity to be exposed to many different styles of finishes and furniture periods.
