My friend and I took cooking classes from her. I can truly say that she was amazing. She taught us to make food we wanted to learn and it turned out amazing. She is a great teacher and makes it easy to apply what you learn from her and the things you learn in class to other recipes outside of what we did in class. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn how to cook.
Chef Stef is a professional Culinary Chef that teaches you step by step how to prepare different recipes. Every two weeks it's a different menu. He provides you with all the food to cook and all the utensils and dishes you need to prepare a wonderful meal. It's always a fun group and we love cooking together. His knowledge about the different products, where there from, where you can buy them and how healthy they are, is very educational. He sometimes pairs the recipes you have prepared with a tasting of different wines or beers of different regions depending on which recipe you are cooking that day. Chef Stef also provides you with containers to take whatever Recipes you have cooked home for your family and children to enjoy. I highly recommend going to Chef Stef cooking classes.
Gerry is the best! She worked with me to plan my boyfriend's surprise birthday party and everything was perfect. From the menu to the decorations and the actual day of execution, everything went smooth. A little background information ... My boyfriend has food allergies, the most prominent one is gluten. A lot of people associate GF food with being tasteless and while I know that to be far from the truth, we have to be extremely careful with everything he eats as even a small amount of cross contamination can make him really ill. Gerry's menu was fantastic - a wide variety of hors d'oeuvres and excellent main course! My boyfriend loved it all and had no problems. Our friends who can be a little standoffish when it comes to GF food had nothing but good things to say; everyone was really pleased. The food tasted amazing, so fresh and very light for summer which is something I really wanted. The presentation was also very creative. My favorite was the caprese skewers with pesto drizzle. The pesto was so good and I loved how fresh everything looked and tasted. After talking with Gerry a little, I found out that she is also available to assist with decorations. This was an amazing help! As we were planning the surprise party at my home, the set up needed to be quick (so I could get it done while my boyfriend wasn't home) but also fit the look I was going for. I also wanted to keep the budget for this as tight as possible. Gerry helped me pick a theme, find reasonably priced decorations and was able to plan some menu items around it also. The day of the event also went great. Part of the reason I decided to cater this event, is because I am notoriously late. No matter how much I plan, I can never seem to beat the clock, especially when cooking. Gerry completely alleviated this issue and kept things running like clock work. Not only did I not have to cook, but I was also able to enjoy the party and never felt stressed for time. I contacted Gerry about 3 weeks before I wanted to have the party and I think that was perfect for the group that I had (about 30). She was always quick to respond and very receptive to all of my ideas. For the quality of ingredients that she uses and the time/energy that she put into the planning process I think her pricing is more than reasonable. She was also willing to negotiate with me about the decorations even though it came up after the original quote which I am sure some people would charge an arm and a leg for. My whole experience with Food for Ten was really great, I cannot recommend Gerry highly enough. I will definitely be contacting her again! --
Debbie is WONDERFUL and I would highly recommend her to everyone I know. I signed up for a series of 6 cooking classes with her with the goal of forcing myself to try new foods and learning new recipes - I definitely accomplished both! Everything she taught us was health conscious and tasted delicious! I am looking forward to the next set of 6 classes with Debbie!
I had a wonderful cooking class with Chef Michael Molleda. We chose a menu and he sent me the recipes in advance. He taught me how to prepare a variety of dishes. He made it easy, fun and the food was delicious. We plan on hiring him again!!
My husband and I had the privilege to work with Howard for our wedding reception. Howard's creative menu combined my Indonesian background along with my husbands love for classic American cuisines in an "East meets West" Themed wedding. Everything from the passed appetizers which included wild mushroom goat cheese quesadillas To the Indonesian Beef Rendang, was cooked and presented to perfection. His passion for food and attention to detail is obvious from the initial conversation to the final execution of the cuisine. I recommend Howard's services to anyone and know my wedding wouldn't have been as memorable and successful if it wasn't for his incredible menu. It meant a lot to me to incorporate my Indinesian heritage into our dinner and Howard's knowledge and talent for southeast Asian cuisines helped make our reception unforgettable.
Deborah was flexible about helping me to cook better, with more variety, and to learn to cook some meals that my husband loves. At first, Deborah helped me sort out my kitchen equipment and supplies at my home. The cooking techniques she taught me are ones that you just don't get by following a recipe. I have had the pleasure of attending two of Jennifer's cooking classes, and had a great time at both. The first was a group class where she taught us to how to cook a typical southern meal complete with Spatchcocked Chicken and Hoppin' John's salad. The food turned out delicious and Jennifer was not only very knowledgeable, but great fun to be around. The second time, she came to my house to teach my family how to make the perfect french Bouillabaisse. Definitely the most fun we've ever had in my kitchen! I really can't recommend her enough, both for her cooking skills and her people skills!
My family was lucky to work with Denise this winter/spring. She came to our house several times for private instruction and was so warm and encouraging and knowledgable as she explained everything she was doing for us. It was amazing to see her involve my preteen/teen boys whenever they had time and in whatever they decided to take interest. She encouraged them to taste new foods, to discuss what they liked, to think about what was healthy and to enjoy working in the kitchen (or at the grill!) She gave me great tips and examples for meal planning, shopping, prepping, cooking, cleaning and organizing my kitchen, all with a great focus on healthy habits. Our granddaughter who is just turning 8 loved Diana and what she learned. They made meatballs and spaghetti and chocolate mousse. It was such a happy event, paced well for an 8 year old and filled with happy conversation. The meal was delicious - and everyone so delighted. We're looking forward to another cooking lesson - maybe next time to include a couple of friends. The one on one was perfect!
