Gary has done an outstanding job providing piano lessons for my daughter. He's a great teacher. Highly recommended! -- Bri Swatek
Guitar lessons can be boring, but not with Steve. Steve's guitar playing its Eddie Van Halen's level and best of all is that he is very humble and a funny teacher. He will take his time to explain you note by note on the entire fretboard. I always have fun learning new scales, arpeggios, triads etc. with Steve. You will actually get exited every time a guitar lesson with him is coming up. A guitar instructor that actually knows how to play pretty much anything on guitar, but if you are into Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Metal, Jazz and Jazz Fusion, you should definitely take guitar lessons with Steve. - Winston Beast Master (Khiazma band)
I would highly recommend Dave Robles for guitar lessons. He taught two of my daughters, from age 6 to age 12. He is both a professional educator and musician. He builds a rapport with the kids, and keeps them interested by letting them have input into the kind of music they're learning. He is reliable and organized, and provided a tabbed binder with sections for notes, theory and music. I recommended Dave to the after school enrichment program at our elementary school because he did such a good job teaching my girls, and I would highly recommend him for all ages.
Barb's Continuo Home Music Lessons provided home lessons to my son. Not only was the instructor very talented, but they knew exactly how to interact with a young person to keep his interest throughout the lesson and encouraged practicing beyond the lesson. Barb is always prompt and goes out of her way to accomodate scheduling issues.
Thoroughly enjoying my lessons with Tom! Sometimes, they are free-flow; sometimes, they are focused. He has a good idea of how much to give me to work on each week, and the structure of the lessons works well.
We've been using John for guitar lessons for our son since he was 10. He's 14 year's old now and John has had a huge impact on his love for this instrument. John keeps his students engaged by allowing them to learn through the music genre that they enjoy. He keeps his lessons fun and light and really connects with his students.
We hired James to play instrumental guitar for our momâs 100th birthday party. Frankly⦠he was great! On the day of the event he arrived on time, set up quickly, and got right to work. He played a wide variety of music throughout the afternoon including music from the 1940âs, exactly as we had requested. In addition to being a gifted musician, James was professional, competent and gracious to all of our guests. He was a pleasure to work with. James, thanks so much for a job well done!
Sky is incredibly talented and knows how to teach any student very well. I highly recommend anyone interested in learning guitar to go to Sky for lessons!
I have been taking Bass Guitar and Drum lessons from Steve for over a year. Steve exhibits the utmost in professionalism and take the time to make sure I've mastered the task at hand before we move on to the next lesson. I would highly recommend Steve to any aspiring musician. Joe B
Chris has been teaching my son guitar for many years, and I started taking lessons myself a few years ago. He is patient, clear in his instruction, and always teaching you new things, as well reviewing previous concepts. A great instructor for students of all ages.
Chris is a good guitar teacher! He is very knowledgeable about guitar and gave me some nice tips!
Rob is an excellent instructor and takes a personal interest in honing both your technical skills and your understanding and appreciation of what transforms a sequence of notes and chords into music. In addition to lessons, Rob is extremely generous with his time and goes out of his way to organize jams that allow students to learn to play in a band setting.
Guitar Hangar is a full-service music store, with a wide selection of instruments from beginner to high-end instruments at competitive prices. More importantly, they focus on service after the sale -- including repairs, maintenance, accessories and perhaps most importantly for new and intermediate musicians, lessons. Rick has been my go-to guy for more than 10 years, and I give him and Guitar Hangar my highest recommendation.
My 13 year old daughter, Alessandra, has been taking guitar lessons with Larry Del Casale since Summer 2012, so a little more than 4 years. He integrates theory, technique, and passion together in a way that made her progress at an amazing rate. I think Larry is one of the reasons why my daughter loves and enjoys playing the guitar so much.
I hired Preston for guitar lessons this summer and met with him for three lessons before having to go back to school. Preston is a real chill guy, with an incredible beard and even greater passion for music. He'll listen to your questions patiently (I had thousands) and enthusiastically give incredibly thorough answers that, although sometimes may circle around to a few different topics, always come back around with really interesting insight to boot. Although he's a talented guitarist, probably the best things about Preston are his personality and availability. He and I texted about problems I was having with learning a song or scale, and he would (and still does, actually) email me with exercise suggestions. Great guitarist, better guy. Definitely check him out no matter what you're interested in learning on guitar!
I have studied guitar with Glenna Gibson for quite some time. She is a consummate professional, and very reliable. I highly recommend her for guitar lessons, as well as music theory. She also plays and sings professionally in the local area.
I have been playing the guitar for over 30 years and studied music at the State University of New Paltz, NY. If you are interested in learning just a few chords to play and sing with, or a full program of music theory-based instruction and application, I can help you.
I am providing guitar lessons for beginners. All basics and any specifics for the genre of music you like will be covered. I have been involved in music since the 4th grade and now am about to finish high school. I have played in professional groups on various instruments and have almost 4 years of experience on guitar. All ages are welcome. It's never too late to start and usually isn't too early (that depends on hand size). If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I offer modern guitar lessons for children and young adults. They will help you learn theory, rhythm, and songs you want to learn. Lessons are available for beginner to intermediate levels.
I tailor my lessons to each individual students goals and stylistic preferences. We have fun learning many new songs, chords, progressions, simple and complex rhythms and even note reading if desired.
When guitarists become familiar with the basics I teach from beginner to intermediate levels of guitar, I continue to show them how to persevere through the learning process. In doing so, players will improve cognition and hand-eye coordination, learn tabulature and develop their "by ear" skills. Players will also be introduced to "the gear" and "the sound" of some of their favorite artists. With my lessons, players will notice their achievements no matter how big or small; a better guitarist will develop in steps and with determination and dedication.
