FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing may vary depending upon the type of event, length of event, amount of attendees, but is largely customized to you. I have performed at local fundraisers and refuse to take payment when it is for a good cause that I care about.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to meet in a public place such as a restaurant, or coffee shop. We will go over what would be required of me for your event. Basic details needed about the event are similar to the fields when requesting a quote. I pride myself in being very detail oriented. There may be options for activities such as any type of games, ceremonies, or announcements. You may not be ready to answer certain things... That's no problem (for instance a bride may not be sure about her father-daughter song yet) We can have a follow up meeting in some cases. Basically we just want to make sure that it makes sense to work together and make sure we are a good fit for one another. I am always open to helping in other ways with events if organizers need an extra hand ahead of time or afterwards. There is also a contract made available to you - which makes sure we are both covered. No commitments are required at our first meeting. I am proud to say that I have never had an incident that required anyone to refer to the contract and I plan on keeping it that way!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was mentored by a Successful Local Music Producer/ College Professor who has received multiple Grammy awards. He has performed as a DJ at events for over 30+ years all over the country. I started off doing small gigs for him and with my success I came to shadow him at weddings. While training with him I was able to gain an some knowledge about the music business. I started performing at weddings with him and eventually broke off to work on my own. I was lucky enough that he actually provided me with a massive portion of his music collection. I dare you to ask for a song I do not have in my collection of over 70,000+ songs that grows everyday.
