We had contacted Heath to come and take a look the roof on one of our properties. We manage 27 properties in the Rochester area. Heath went out and took a look at the property and said that he would be more than happy to do the job and gave us a quote in writing. After that I didn't hear from him for a couple of days, to which he got back to us to let us know his son was in the hospital. So we got back to negotiations and he said that he could be at the job site the following day to start work. I asked him if he was sure he would be able to start the work so that I could stop putting out bids for the job. He assured me that he would be there first thing. I told him that I needed to just confirm with the tenant to let them know we would be there to start work, and he said that was fine. So after sending a message later that day saying we were all set, I didn't get a response. The next morning, still no response and he was a no show at the property. To this day I haven't heard a word or an explanation. I don't think he was confident he would be able to do the job right. Or the price he quoted me was too low. Either way the way he treated us was extremely unprofessional and I would watch out before scheduling anything with him.

To the poster above, here is an explanation for Heath's lack of communication. We just found out after calling his cell phone to solidify our roofing quote, that he died unexpectedly at the age of 43. :(
