After years of procrastinating, I finally started taking Spanish lessons. Beatrice has made the process both stress free and enjoyable. She develops lesson plans to provide the needed basics, but can adjust faster or slower based on my ability to absorb the information. Beatrice is both friendly and patient and she is thoroughly knowledgeable in the Spanish language.

10/20/15 I wanted to write a review about Cross Cultural Communications in regard to my Spanish lessons. I had tried to learn Spanish in Berlitz in Princeton, NJ years ago, and the program of learning grammar and memorizing words did not resonate with my learning ability. I wanted to learn the language of Spanish but also the culture. At Cross Cultural Communications I got a native speaking teacher that made the language learning more interesting combined with cultural knowledge. I learned and retained much more using this method and it keeps me coming back to learn more and more. The Westwood, NJ location is convenient for me and the pricing of the classes are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this center for Spanish language lessons combined with cultural learning. Veronique is a joy to work with! She is patient and kind, which is critical when learning a new language. She paces the student appropriately, and offers many resources for augmenting the lessons, and is always readily available for questions. She's a delight to be with, and charges fair prices.

I love the Italian language and culture and realized my speaking abilities from my university studies were rustier than I thought during a recent trip to Italy this past summer. Upon my return to the States, I immediately sought private tutoring and I could not be more satisfied in finding Mariateresa. I've seen vast improvement in my comprehension and speaking since I started taking lessons with her. The first couple months were focused on fundamentals and book work but now each lesson begins with about 30 mins of conversation (in Italian of course) before diving into books. I cannot recommend Mariateresa enough regardless of your comprehension level because not only does she challenge me every week to improve my skill but the time spent with her is very enjoyable and something I look forward to every week.

My daughter was trying hard, but really struggling with AP French at her competitive Manhattan school. She was also resistant to the idea of outside help, at first, but Seamus' approach put her at ease. With his help, she caught up with her class and developed the skills/confidence to reach her AP score goals. Because of his results, I decided to use him to finally brush up on my own rusty Spanish, something I've known for a while would help with my career, and it wasn't nearly a hard as I'd feared. I wish someone like him had been around back when I was learning the first time. Highly recommended.

Saul is a very talented and patient teacher. He takes his time getting to know what you want out of lessons, and is very flexible in his approach. When one way wasn't working, he found another. As someone who desperately wanted and needed to learn guitar, but sorely lacking in "natural ability", he was a perfect fit for me as a teacher. He brought me a long, LONG way in a short period of time. I highly recommend him!

Spanish tutor. Friendly, patient, well prepared, and supplied new books and learning materials that were more than adequate. Most importantly, Damaris was flexible in setting up appointments and shows up on time.
