FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer two different pricing structures. I have a 'per lesson' rate, as well as a 'package rate', where lessons or training sessions are paid for in groups of 4, and the price per lesson is discounted. For example, a half-hour private lesson is usually $30, at the 'per lesson' rate. Four half-hour private lessons, if paid for up front, are $105 at the 'package rate', rather than $120. I do also offer specialized packages to breeders, or owners of multiple horses. If traveling, I do sometimes also have to charge a surcharge to make up for the gas and time spent.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly ride with instructors and clinicians in a multitude of disciplines, from jumpers to dressage to saddleseat to western, in order to keep myself up to speed and eliminate bad habits, as well as to help bring along my clients' horses as well as possible.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My most common client is the typical horse crazy little girl, between the ages of 7 and 12. After that is the 're-rider', adults, usually women, in their late thirties or older, who rode a bit as kids and who are looking to get back in the saddle.
