Ray worked on a kitchen remodel wil only a limited change in cabinets and the installation of Pro style cooktop and large island vent. He did a great job of moving the kitchen cabinets, installing 3 new ones, modifying the kitchen base for the cook top and demolition of the old countertop and a wall.
My disappointed is that he wasnât very good at solving problems, everything was a âshow stopperâ . In addition, I laid out the work in detail and he balked at many of the tasked after he had agreed to do the whole job. This required finding a plumber, electrician, and Tile guy for some relatively simple stuff. The final problem involved reacting to direction (e.g. donât cut the line running to an outlet in a demo wall so we can reuse in a floor plug, etc.) and he left a significant amount of construction debris at the house.
I would use Ray again for a focused project involving only rough to medium carpentry. If his son is with him (who is very skilled) I would extend it to fine carpentry. He is a pleasant person, relatively reliable and reasonable priced.
