Cindy was very knowledgeable and helpful with regards to my dog training needs. I look forward to working with her further. Her observations and suggestions have already helped me to modify my behavior with my dog and as a result I have already seen improvement in his behavior. Thanks so much for getting me in touch with her.
Sarah responded quickly to our request for help and guidance in training our puppy. She spent several hours with us on her visit. She outlined the program for training and her rational for training. This is a different method than we used in the past with two other dogs. Her methods made sense as they are based on behavior modification of both owner and dog Bryan & Kathy
Working with Lynnae was absolutely amazing. I started with a German Shepherd puppy I didn’t think I’d ever be able to handle on our walks and thanks to Lynnae he has become a different dog. She is very kind and very patient, and thanks to her me and my dog now have a very close relationship. She helped us both understand each other more. I would recommend her to anyone she was all around so great to work with.
I had Brad take my older dog, Duke, for a Board & Train to refresh his skills and re-socialize with other dogs. Brad did an exceptional job in keeping in touch throughout the training via text, calls and pics/videos. He was very open with communication and didn't hesitate to contact me with any questions, and visa versa. Brad made sure he understood my concerns regarding what I wanted him to work on with Duke. At the end of training, I was so impressed with the difference in Duke's behavior and obedience. I am a believer that you can 'teach an old dog new tricks' and would recommend to anyone who adopts an older dog to know that Brad can refresh the skills that may be hiding in there! This training has reduced both my and Duke's anxiety, and I now feel comfortable taking him places without fear of poor behavior. Having seen other trainers in the past, I can say that while they may treat your dog as their business, Brad will treat your dog as his passion.
George Clark and the Playard is an outstanding pet sitter and outstanding Playard for my 2 dogs. I have been in a relationship with the Playard for sometime over 10 years and I have no worries when my dogs are there. They love it. They know when we are driving there they are very excited to go. They are happy to be with George and whatever dog he feels they will be playing with. George is very conciencious with the animals and is very caring and concerned about their well being. I am so at ease when they are there because I know George will take care of them. He also is a trainer. Rochelle Bartolo
Leesa is very loving with animals. Animals really like her. She took care of my dog Ally and Ally was very happy to see her. Which told me it was a good experience. The cat loved her too. This was in San Diego. She was usually a little early, never late. She really does have a good work ethic. Nothing went wrong. I would hire her again. Very good experience. 👍
For years, Cheryl provided short term and long term care for my dog. Her wide range of knowledge about all animals was evident. But particularly concerning my dog, she helped me in many situations when I had questions about diet, behavior, and health. In fact, I credit Cheryl with bringing my dog back to health after a less-than-perfect surgery performed by a vet.
I worked with Alyssa when she was employed by PetSmart. She is very talented when it comes to pet training. Alyssa has a great understanding of dog behavior. She worked with all types of breeds of dogs and made training fun and easy to understand
If you could have seen Jake and I walking around Saugerties this past Saturday you would know why I am recommending Francine. I initially had contacted Francine after looking over her website for a class that I thought would benefit Jake, my 7-year old German Shepherd Dog. Jake is fairly well trained but there were a few things that needed work and due to my bad back I really was unsure if I would be able to handle classes. What caught my eye was the offering of a "Boot Camp". When we first spoke by phone, Francine was very generous with her time and wanted to know what was going on, how it affected my life and offered suggestions for changing Jake's behavior. We decided that a 2-week Boot Camp would be appropriate for Jake and she promised to get in touch with me as soon as she had an opening in her schedule. When the time came to drop Jake off with Francine, I had no hesitation about leaving him with her and drove away with confidence that I had chosen the right person rather than regretting or being nervous that Jake would be treated OK. Francine gave me several updates over the course of the 2-week period that Jake was away and when the time came to schedule his homecoming, she went out of her way to bring him to my home so that we could work on his new training technique in our own setting, rather than at the location where he had just spent the past few weeks. When they did arrive at my home, she spent at least two hours with me as we went over all of the aspects of his new training, even having me bring some strangers to the house so that we could set up some of the scenarios that was causing Jake to act in an aggressive manner. Francine has also been easily reachable and available when I have contacted her with questions. Back to Saugerties last weekend. I went to pick up a pizza and brought Jake along. I was unable to find parking and had to leave my car almost two blocks from the restaurant. I decided to test his training and opted not to use a lead. Jake executed a beautiful heel as we walked up the crowded sidewalks. People were turning their heads to look at him walking next to me and I was extremely proud of the way Jake performed. When we reached the restaurant I placed him in a down just outside of the door where he happily stayed while I picked up my order. We then proceeded to walk back to the car and I was absolutely beaming with pride over the way Jake handled himself! I will have to say that I am extremely happy with the way in which Francine worked with Jake. She made the changes to his behavior and training that were required. I highly recommend her and feel that she would do a wonderful job for anybody!
Deja is fantastic with animals. My cat, Milo, is normally shy around others but he liked her right away and was eager to play. I felt assured that he was left in good hands.
I brought two of my Newfoundlands, Theo and Katie, for a two week training session. When they first got there I couldn't handle them by myself at all. They wouldn't walk on a leash and whenever they saw me they would get very excited and jump on me was needless to say...dangerous. I picked the dogs up Saturday and they were totally different dogs. I was able to take one of them out into the world yesterday and he was awesome He did everything I told him to do and we had a great time. My other dog who is stubborn and has a "you want me to do what, I don't think so" attitude is 100% easier to work with then she was and I can go outside with her without be bowled over. I plan on continuing lessons with Master's Gate with Theo so he can be certified as a therapy dog if he has it in him. I had thought I was going to have to rehome them because their behavior was out of control and they were putting quite a strain on our marriage, but with the aid of Master's Gate we will be able to keep the dogs and our relationship.
Jenn helped my husband and me in dealing with and managing our aggressive dog, and eventually helped us in coping with the loss of him. After that, Jenn never lost touch, checking in with us to see how we were doing and even inviting us to watch a Search and Rescue training with her team (to this day one of the coolest, most impressive things I've ever witnessed). What we didn't realize was that Jenn would not only help us in dealing with the early loss of our pet, but she would help us become better dog owners. She has taught us everything from animal behavior to human behavior, how to effectively communicate with our canine companions, and how to lead a happy, balanced life with them. What impresses me about Jenn is not only her professionalism when meeting with clients, but her energy, passion and knowledge for dogs and helping others. Jenn spent countless hours with us offering us advice, pointing out to us what she was seeing in our dog and why it was happening, and what we could do to modify the behavior. Jenn takes a genuine, caring interest in the dogs she trains and the families she helps. I simply cannot put a price tag on what Jenn has done for my family (2-legged and 4-legged). If you are noticing issues in your dog, or are just interested in learning more about dog behavior (and in turn human behavior), I would not hesitate in the slightest to recommend Jenn to anyone and everyone. Don't bother looking anywhere else - the quality of her service is unrivaled!!
Bri is amazing with new puppies she totally understands their behavior and clearly shows you had to modify it to get results.
I worked with Bill in both the racing stable and Saratoga Garlic. He is a nataural with animals and pleasent to work with.
Justina is amazing when we need a pet sitter we will only hire her! Our animals were so happy and well taken care of!
It was my first time using Thumbtack and Mary's first job with them. It worked out well. She has animals of her own so she is in tune to the different characters of animals. My cat was a feral cat and she also has a feral cat so she knows how spooky they can be.
