About this pro
I know what it is like to walk into a design showroom and feel overwhelmed by beautiful ideas but high prices. I have personal experience designing and decorating on a budget - at times a very small one. I am a firm believer that creativity will create your perfect space, not a big budget. Your home matters, and I complete projects with as much care as I would in my own and I help you maintain those new renovations throughout the years to come. I love the look on someone's face when they see a completed project, a new fixture, or the first wall of paint go up - when they start to see the vision come to life. I would do it for free just for that. I love seeing a change in a person's outlook when they are proud of their home. It is as priceless as seeing a student's face light up when they finally understand a lesson!

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I fell in love with my grandparents house in Schenectady when I was little. It was an older home and had so much character. Great memories there. My husband and I bought a home built in 1907 in Niskayuna after we married and began to research the home and the way it was built. We spent hours and hours restoring it and I couldn't imagine any better way to spend my time. When the daughter of the original owner saw us working on it she was very excited and wished her mom could have seen it now. That was an incredible moment for us. We started helping others and it just grew!
- What types of customers have you worked with?"Small" jobs like painting, tiling, fixing walls, refinishing or completely replacing floors/furniture, redesigning rooms, designing and building built-ins, consulting DIYers. etc. To larger jobs (I don't take many now because I want to enjoy my two year old as much as possible!) like gutting complete rooms and rebuilding.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?We turned an extra bedroom into a master bathroom for a couple living in a ranch home whom had never had their own bathroom! The homeowner says she'll never move now because she won't be able to take it with her :)
