I would highly recommend G&J Electicians. The wiring in our old home made the job challenging, yet George installed a new/light fan in our bathroom. George was professional, prompt and courteous. I would definitely hire G & J again.

St Paul's Indian Orthodox Church used Anthony Berrios for two jobs. First job started as a potential toilet installation but turned into installing few shelves, spot light, adjusting a podium etc. The second job was completion of painting. Mr Berrios is very professional and does excellent work. He prides himself on the end result and meticulously works on even minor details. He is prompt and leaves a clean work space. Anthony really helped out in the second job. We had initially selected another contractor to paint the basement of the church. That contractor however left the job undone. I reached out to Anthony who accepted the job and completed the work. We also appreciated that Anthony doesn't consider any job to be too small. Anthony is going to be first contractor we call for our next job.

Adam did a great job installing new vinyl hand rails on our front porch. We had good communication leading up to the installation and the overall experience was very positive.

I needed a new light figure and wiring done to my livingroom. Rene responded right away and was able to provide an in person estimate the next day. His quote was very fair and was able to complete the work the next business day. Definitely reliable and would use again in the future.

Water damage restoration job: drywall, light carpentry, painting. Reasonably priced and professionally done. Corey and Sherwin worked extremely hard to get our project done and the finished product was great! Would recommend them to anyone.

Greg is very trustworthy and meticulous. It will get done right the first time. He is also very reasonable. He has transformed my home. He remade my bathroom, put flooring down, patched and painted beautifully, put in new windows, put up a fence, installed back splash and counter in kitchen, and put in a wall light and replaced outlets. Greg and his team can do it all. I make sure I get my upcoming projects on his schedule as he can get busy.

Project: • Complete Bathroom remodel. Gut to studs, remove a small closet partition. Planned Additional: • Install a hot water heater and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Install a natural gas dryer and configure the natural gas plumbing as required • Hardwired smoke / CO detectors on every floor Unplanned additional: • Structural assessment and installation of a header to carry the weight of free hanging rafters from previous owners remodel. • Upgrading the houses mainline for the plumbing system from ½ to ¾ pipe. (Hot and cold water) Small on the spot fixes FoC • Stuck door repair – fixed several doors that were binding in the house. • Helped remove the dishwasher for servicing • Helped install / repair 2nd bathroom hardware • Helped unload my truck a few times as I was moving stuff over from my apt. Bill and the crew at Freehold Enterprises are nothing short of phenomenal. They have given me a quite high end bathroom for a bargain price, while making sure all the systems and services are safe and up to code. Insured? – Yes, and he had his Insurance Agent email me over proof of insurance within 30mins of it being requested. Courteous?– without fail throughout the entire job. Ethicial and moral?- without a doubt. He is upfront and bluntly honest. He lives the Holmes on Homes motto of “Make it Right” and “Just like I’d do it in my own house.” Communication? – while I was away on vacation in Singapore, he kept me up to date on the projects progress weekly sending me multiple pictures and kept me apprised of any issues. Cleanliness / Concern for the Non work areas – Bill papered and plastic’ed what seems 3/4s of the house in order to avoid any possible scratches to the hardwood floors or dust getting places where it shouldn't be. Any minor cosmetic damage that occurred during his work he made sure were made good; such as pressure washing the back patio where he was working and touching up the trim paint damage from his tape. The project detailed ripping out the existing ½ bath and bathroom closet for the installation of a shower and full bathroom remodel. There was an additional constraint that we would be out of the country for two weeks and wanted the project done while we were gone. Bill contacted me through Thumbtack and was courteous and detailed in his phone survey of the project. He was punctual in his arrival for the on-site job survey and he impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to work with our requirements and budget. We had our written and itemized estimate in hand 3 days later. After reviewing all collected estimates we chose to go with Bill and Freehold. That evening we met at home depot and decided on a color pallet and hardware styles. During the conversation and listening to Bill describe how he planned to stretch our budget, we decided to go ahead and give Bill full design control. The end product did not let us down. We gave him key and went off on our trip. While we were gone, Bill sent us continuous updates with photos explaining what was going on. He handled and repaired several unplanned for issues in stride and kept us updated on those; the header and house leveling for the unsupported rafters and the need to upgrade the mainline for the plumbing. Along the way he handled several other minor things as they came up; some stuck doors, installation of hardwired smoke detectors and some lights, etc. Due to both the planned and unplanned extras, we ran slightly over on time and budget, and had to move in while Bill was still finishing up. He worked with us to create minimal disturbance to our lives and routines. The finished product was worth the wait. His tile design and choices were gorgeous. The bathroom is beautiful and now out classes the rest of the house. We love it. Then to top it all off, since we had gone slightly over budget he was willing to work with us on the final payment. We highly recommend Bill and Freehold for your next project and plan to continue using him ourselves for additional projects on this and other properties. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this review and project: Stormer@frontiernet.net Sincerely, Jason Emans

I needed an electrician right away. I went on this site and found one. I was getting my house remodeled and wanted to add some extra lighting to the kitchen, living room and bedroom. He also added some lighting to the front and back porch that did not exist. Seamus came in not only gave me an estimate but started the job that day. It took a short amount of time and everything came out beautiful. My wife was very pleased! He is priced right and does great work. We definitely recommend him and we will use him again.

Jason did a great job switching and installing 2 overhead lights in my house. He was very thorough and gave me recommendations for the types of lighting to buy as well as issues typical to similar homes. Only reason for less than 5 stars is because of limited availability and running late to appointment.

Replaced ancient vent/heater/light in first floor bathroom. Dealt with ancient ductwork, replacing what was needed to make it all work. Previously used them to find and fix a waste pipe leak from the second floor and replace a water damaged section of kitchen flooring. Prices were good and work was high quality.

John was great to work with, a no nonsense professional. Showed up on time to go over the project, made himself available right away to complete it. He is licensed and insured and did not give me grief about ponying up his documents when requested (sad that this distinguishes him from others in his profession, but true). Made quick work of some smaller projects we had at our commercial facility, more importantly _did not_ over exaggerate the amount of work that needed to be done in order to inflate the final invoice. We will gladly hire him again to tackle our laundry list of wiring and lighting projects.

I am in the process of getting my house ready to put on the market. I can across Thumbtack and decided to give it a try. One of the projects on my list was to update some recepicals, find out why some outdoor lights were not working and replace the lighting fixture at the entrance of my home. I posted my electrical project and received an immediate response from Pete Amrod, Alliance Electrical & Surveillance. Pete sent me a text, said he was in Albany and could he stop by to give me an estimate. It worked for me. I showed Pete want I needed replaced, repaired, etc. After he did a thorough walk through, he pointed out to me that there were some additional corrections that had to be made for my house to pass an electricial inspection. I was extremely impressed with him, so we arranged a date for him to do the necessary work. Once he started, it was apparent to him that my electrical work that was done prior to my moving in was a pandora box. He explained and when possible demonstrated what changes had to be made. From the start of my project, Pete had to troubleshoot!!!! Never got frustrated and viewed the project as a challenge. SUCCESS....Pete is acutely knowledgeable, professional, reliable, thoughtful and I would definitely recommend him. This was my first, but definitely not my last experience with Thumbtack . Mike and crew painted our home summer 2017. The estimate we received was very fair; it included sanding, two coats, trim, and 4 doors. We went from a darker gray/brick to a light gray (BM Classic Gray), having the brick painted too. We could not be more pleased with the outcome. Mike takes great pride in his work and it shows. Not only is his work top notch, but he is professional and a pleasure to work with. Just about every home in our neighborhood that has been painted since we've lived here, which is 3 years, has been done by Mike! Jeff and Sue G. Pittsfield, MA

I highly recommend Mike and his crew for all home improvement jobs. Mike has tackled simply tasks such as changing light fixtures, to more time consuming tasks such as constructing a closet and build in shelves in my family room. He has always done quality work and stayed on the job until it is complete to my satisfaction, even after I've changed my mind a couple of times mid-project! On one occasion I've had to have him come back to fix an issue and he did so without hesitation and and at no additional cost to me. This really speaks to his professionalism. I've hired him to complete 5 jobs for me and have him booked for several more! Need I say more!

I'd have checked off ALL the highlights for Tony but Thumbtack only allows a choice of three - this guy went above and beyond by a mile. He not only installed a very heavy, awkward, fragile multi part ceiling lighting fixture (and helped wipe down all the glass parts that went with it before calling it a done job!), like a champ, but he truly brought all the A game for professionalism. This ny noticed and pointed out a very troublesome ceiling problem my apartment has and which has been bothering me forever - I had no idea where to start with it and my building service is typically crappy NYC half-measures. Tony cleared out the major problem right there on the spot and now I've hired him for my next job - getting that ceiling in proper, safe working order. Seriously, this guy knows what he's doing and comes with all his own huge assortment of tools and an eye towards providing truly above and beyond service! Hire him and you'll get incredible attention to detail. Thanks Tony, see you soon for the next punch list item in my never-ending list. 👍🙂

Great work. Had my bathroom re-modeled, new lighting and fans were installed. It was suggested that I use tile flooring that looked like re-claimed barn wood and it looked amazing. Really made my entire house come together. Greg and his guys were very friendly and professional. They got the entire bathroom done in a week on short notice. Have nothing but good things to say and plan to use Challacombe Construction for future projects I want completed on my home.
