Introduction: In 1991, while working in a very stressful career in NYC, I began looking for an alternative treatment for back pain. I had no idea at the time that yoga would become a practice that would not only relieve my physical pain, but also help control anxiety and stress. After 5 years of practice and moving to Westchester County, I began teaching. Because Iyengar training is such a big commitment, I tried many types of yoga before fully committing. For me, Iyengar yoga continually offered clarity and depth that I did not experience from other forms. It was after 3 bouts of Lyme disease that I also realized how important this method is for those who need a more gentle or adaptive style. I am forever thankful to my teachers for making this practice and training for instruction possible.

I've been studying with Kate for 15 years. She is a gifted teacher. She gives clear instruction and treats each student as an individual. Every class new and fresh. Brings the intelligence and fullness of yoga to her teaching.

Kate Graham is a miracle worker. Her experience and intuition gives her laser focus on one's body. She is guiding me through recovery from brain surgery and is helping me undo a lifetime of rib issues. She has also loosened a lot of my mental rigidity.

Meeting Kate has been one of the best things that has happened to me. Not only is she very experienced Iyenger yoga teacher, she is very warm and patient, too. With my medical condition, I have a lot of issues, but I feel very comfortable and well looked-after in her classes. 👍

Kate is a fabulous yoga teacher of the Iyengar method. Her technique, talent, patience, encouragement and creativity are just some of the reasons I've enjoyed learning from her for the past 10 years. I consider her both an inspiration and a friend.
