FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always attending seminars, and classes to keep abreast of current food trends and healthy eating.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From the time I was 14, I cooked for my family. When I married and started my own family, that was just an extension of my love for them. When my youngest child went off to culinary school, I have to admit I was jealous. Several years later, when I was totally burned out from secretarial work, I inform my husband I would be quitting my job. His response to that was, "What will you do?" My response was "Go to culinary school," and I did. I have loved every moment of the journey and hope to do this for the rest of my life.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I submitted a quote for a personal chef job. I offered to cook a meal for the potential client as a tryout, and after the meal, they offered me a full-time private chef position.
