I've had some nagging injuries that prevented me from playing the sports I love as well as get back ink shape. Serge has been training me following the birth of my son, and my body has bounced back in HUGE part to him. I have done many workouts in NYC and worked with many trainers-- these past experiences can be good initially but frequently lead to stale workouts and a plateau of results. Serge always keeps if fun, new, fresh, and my body is always changing. I have seen great physical results, but also improvements in my overall athleticism, endurance, and strength which is essential when caring for an infant. He gives great pointers on nutrition, hydration, and overall ways of caring for your health and physical well-being. Even more importantly, Serge has a great personality and strikes the appropriate balance between being supportive but firm in pushing for more out of his clients to get the results they ultimately want.
Katie is an amazing fitness trainer, and even on my first session with her, I felt a huge difference in my body and felt like I could really achieve my fitness goals. Katie is patient but assertive when you need that extra kick, and she really has a good intuition for what your body needs. I would never hesitate in recommending her to anyone who needs a great workout and the best fitness results!
Carlos is the secret, the real deal. At first I was hesitant about paying for a trainer. I thought I knew it all about exercise being fairly athletic. I also thought that only celebrities had personal trainers and paid dearly for them until I met Carlos. I didnt just get a fitness trainer I have an accessible counselor that guides me in exercise, nutrition, and everyday conditioning. When I travel he sends me exercise regimes for the hotel gym and constantly advises me on dieting and working out. As far as results: Ive lost 52 lbs. and have great energy. Carlos is the real deal. If you dont believe it, just ask me.

Exceptional in every single way! When I contacted the burning zone, the response was prompt. Based on my goals I was match with Ulysse, he offered the first training for free. I had worked with personal trainers before, I could tell right away he was knowledgeable. He heard me out on my goals (strength building and body balance, not weight loss) and at the end of the session he came up with a plan on how we should work out. Ulysse's positivity and attitude towards health and fitness carries over to all aspects of your life when you work out with him. He is a strong nutritionist, adjust the workouts to your body and your needs and constantly switching things up. He watches you closely and ensures you get the most out of every exercise, he knows how to push you hard but not over the edge. Ulysse has a motivating effect which is exactly what you want in a trainer. On days you don't meet, a text message reminder to make healthy choices and will encourage you to stay on track. Ulysse is truly invested in your personal success, this isn't just some one-size-fits all program. I also love that he does not believe in or push products/supplements and other garbage onto you, his method: healthy eating exercise, rest and hard work. Ulysse is energetic, motivating, an awesome person and trainer. I enthusiastically recommend him to anybody reading this who needs a fantastic personal trainer.
Judy is absolutely phenomenal!! She is professional, intelligent, organized, diligent and so very pleasant. I have specific injuries that she always accommodates for and tailors exercises accordingly. She comes to every session thoroughly prepared with a plan. She knows the correct positions and allignments and fastidiously corrects the client to maximize the benefits of the exercise. I have worked with several personal trainers before, and Judy is by far the best!! I need not look any further!
Gilbert and Trinity are great trainers. They can be tough but encouraging, and help me to work on different muscles of my body each time.
i have been training with Brenda for 9 months now and she is great! Before Brenda, I did have a very good trainer in another city but then I moved to NYC, so I knew what the standard was for someone who would push you but also understand your personal needs and tailor the workout to make sure you are satisfied. I used Thumbtack to find a trainer and read positive reviews about Brenda and decided to give it a try--she has lived up to all expectations. Her schedule is flexible so she can meet you when and where is best for you (some trainers' schedules are too packed and if you're 5 minutes late, they take 5 min off the end of your session, or do not let you reschedule a session without giving you a hard time). She tailors the workouts so if you want to do something on a particular day or are feeling a bit sore in one area, she will work around that but still make sure you are getting an intense workout. Brenda is friendly and personable to talk to and will advise you on anything from nutrition to specific workout regimens to improve a muscle group. It's important to find a trainer who you really get along with and feel comfortable around, and I have found it very easy to work with Brenda. I'm 100% satisfied--highly recommended!
Ed is the man! What else can I say? My wife and I were looking for a trainer who could address our personal fitness goals leading up to our wedding. With a 3-month window, Ed was able to evaluate each of our individual needs effectively and construct workout programs that he trained us on, simultaneously. We are extremely pleased with our results. Ed's program not only helped us reach our goal, but has really set us up for long term success with our physical fitness. We'll be continuing our training with him for a while I think.
I would highly recommend Chris as a trainer. Around a year ago I decided to get a trainer to work on strength and improve my workouts. I've been training with him since then. He keeps the workouts interesting and challenging, pushing me to get outside of my comfort zone, within reason. Chris gives me feedback on form and technique, and does it in a constructive way. Great to have him as my trainer!
You ever gone to a commercial gym and seen some personal trainers who look like they haven't worked out a day in their lives? Do you really want someone like that training you? Well, Izzy is not only in excellent shape himself, but he also has a no-nonsense approach to fitness that he passes onto his clients. I've had the most success gaining strength with the compound exercises that he prescribes. Very energy-intensive, but they also yield the best results! Izzy is very patient and motivating and I can tell that he wants me to succeed, even if I'm not having the best day. I'd like to thank him for reforming my entire workout routine for the better!
Having had several trainers in the past, I can say definitely that Jeremy is an exceptionally skilled and effective trainer and demonstrates skills that other trainers just do not possess. Jeremy has great interpersonal and customer service skills and is a delight to work with. What really sets him apart, is his intricate knowledge of the mechanics of the human body and to intervene to achieve optimal functioning. Jeremy is perhaps as or more skilled than the physical therapists with which I have worked. He is constantly attentive to posture, subtle mechanics, balance, and monitors the effectiveness of mechanics (not just brute strength). Jeremy is excellent for any level of fitness or experience. I am a life long athlete that is recovering from severe illness and muscle atrophy. My partner is over 65 and previous hated exercise. In a short period of time, Jeremy has made tremendous positive impact in our physical (and mental) health and fitness. I recommend him with incredible enthusiasm.
Highly recommend! They were able to work with my busy schedule and partner me up will someone based on my background/goals. I trained with this company back in LA and you have no idea how happy I am that they have trainers in NYC as well! The training packages are a great deal and it's a huge plus that their trainers are well informed when it comes to nutrition. All of the trainers are amazing but Erika's experience aligned perfectly with what I was looking for in a trainer. If you're willing to do the work you will absolutely get the results. I'm down 5% body fat in just one month of training!
I hired Lauren to help me fix my coordination, teach me how to properly workout while dealing with my back pain. I had several trainers prior, however, I never had the one who catered to me the way Lauren does. From teaching me how to use different muscles group of my body to completely improving my overall life by 2000%. She approached me as a person who needed help, as an individual and not just someone who could been fit under cookie-cutter method. She literally changed my life. From nutrition to stretching, to teaching me how to properly work out - she does it all. I am a vegan/vegetarian, so she continually teaches me how to improve my diet by providing solid advice. I was looking for a trainer that would help me to achieve my fitness goals, which were to lose weight (especially my belly fat) and tone my lower body. Alex helped me to exceed these goals. I've lost 40 pounds, lost 5 inches from my waist and gained great muscle tone. I am extremely motivated and more energetic as a result.
