FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is not standard pricing as it does vary from project to project. Budget is always a major concern for any project, so I am very fair but competitive. Typically I will either set a very low percentage markup on all goods purchased, or a flat rate price based on hours invested. At times I may run specials in which I will incorporate both at discounted price. It really depends on the project, but I am very reasonable.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First step in the process is to assess the clients needs. I prefer the first contact to be a phone call, in order to avoid any miscommunication, and so we can feed off of each others energy. Then I typically offer a Free Consultation, in which I can oversee the project and speak with the client. This allows us to put our ideas together, discuss budget, Design Style, and time frame. The consult also gives us a chance to make sure the client and I are on the same page, and our styles work well together. Once I view the work space and obtain measurements, I would then design a floor plan and 3D Rendering. Also, I typically create a tier sheet with different options and styles for the project. This includes furniture, flooring, wall decor, window treatments as well as masonry, remodeling and construction. The last step is to complete the project in a timely and cost efficient manner, and most importantly, ensuring the utmost client satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
A majority of my education comes from hands on experience and working in the field for the past three years. I hold an accredited certification, and one non accredited certification. I am also currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Program for Interior design at NYSID. I have interned at 2 renowned Interior Design Firms in Manhattan for a 6 month period. However, I still feel the best way to learn is to get out there and get your hands dirty, which I have! My work has also been featured on HGTV's Flea Market Flip!
